Halloween Dimensional Art
The crisp is in the air and the night time is rolling around faster each day…that can mean only one thing…Halloween is on it’s way! So today I have a fun project for you, some Halloween Dimensional Art, that you can adapt to any Graphic Fairy image for all different occasions and decors. The basics are here for you and then you can put your own spin on it. Let’s start with the supplies you will need.
First you will need to size your image for the frame that you will be using. If you are using small additives you will have to size them proportionately also. Then you will need two of the same image, an exacto blade, glitter, modge podge, a small piece of foam core cut into small pieces, a brush, frame, paint and any other extras you would like to add.
Simply cut your one image to fit the frame and then carefully cut the image section that you would like to be dimensional out. Take you time, the more exacting, the better the results.
You can find the above image right here.
Once you have the images cut, choose what you would like glittered. Here the bats, the pumpkins shoes and the owls eyes have black glitter. All you do is apply modge podge to that section and sprinkle, allow to set for a minute and shake off.
It is time to start adding the dimension. Just glue down the little pieces of foam core over the areas that you are raising…
the simply glue the images onto of the foam core and viola!
Paint your frame the color of your choosing…
Then pop your dimensional creation in!
They truly POP out at you and make a great addition to your art collection…make many and create a mantle, try this with any one of the incredible graphics here and get really detailed…add pearls and all kinds of embellishments or not…one way or another I am sure you will create your own masterpiece and with the selection of artwork to create from here at The Graphics Fairy you are sure to have tons of fun!
Happy Haunting and hope to see you over at
The Cottage Market some time!
(hugs)…Andrea
