I think there are so many possibilities with this collection. Fun!!
Vintage Ephemera Handwritten Poems
This is a gorgeous piece of antique Ephemera entitled ‘Power of Song Poem!!’ How awesome that title? The lovely aged piece comes from the same old autograph/friendship book as the piece above. This page is an amazing handwritten poem with lovely calligraphy style writing. Don’t you wish someone would write a poem for you? Make sure you enlarge this one and read the words.
Here we have a beautiful Paris Letter with Stamp Ephemera! The letter has gorgeous handwriting and a fancy signature. I love the flourishes especially. A lovely brownish sepia toned French stamp is in the bottom corner. This wonderful antique ephemera piece dates to 1890.
This is a gorgeous fragment of antique handwritten sheet music! It says that it is a score from a ‘Potpourri Opera.’ Not at all sure what that means, but it is such a sweet little piece of ephemera. The writing coupled with the lovely sepia tones make this so versatile.
This next one is a writing sample from an text book. It’s demonstrating out to write a promissory note. Such beautiful handwriting!
This next one was sent to me, to share with you guys, years ago by Cher Lashley. Isn’t it marvelous?! It’s faded to the most glorious olive green color and I love the rustic distressed top edge on this one. And the handwriting is lovely of course.

Next up some more wonderful French Clip Art! Shown above is an Old French Document, it looks like it may be a Ledger Page. It has fabulous fancy Handwriting on it, and lots of Vintage Numbers. Love the faded blue color!
And here we have a Vintage Elegant Pink Calling Card Graphic! This is just a beautifully designed calling card with lovely script lettering for B. L. Wright of Troy Street, Canton, Pa. The card is light pink with a darker tiny pink scroll and fleur de lis design repeating over the background. The edges of the card are rounded.
This sweet little piece is dated 1845. It’s from the front of an old book. It’s a simple piece but the handwriting is so elegant and lovely!
Script Ephemera Postcards
Ornate Ephemera Script Samples
This one is from a fantastic set of French Cards from the 1860’s! Each card shows a stunning sample of either Spencerian Script, Typography or Monograms. Such a treasure, I’ve never seen anything like this in my 20 years of dealing with Antiques, so I think it may be quite rare! I’m told that these came from an Estate, in which the owner had owned an Antique Store in Philadelphia that closed down in the 1950’s! I love the lettering on the word Paris at the bottom.
This is a really wonderful piece from my dear Italian friend Daniela at Verde Salvia Blog. Years ago she shared several beautiful early treasures from her collection with me, to post on this blog. This is a wonderful early piece of Ephemera from Italy.
This is another beautiful Italian Treasure also from Daniela’s collection. I adore the ornate engraved frame on this one and the theater mask at the top of the piece and artist’s palette at the bottom!
Alphabet Script Calligraphy Practice Sheets
This is another page from the wonderful 1890’s antique letter writing book! I just think this is the most delicious piece of Ephemera. The page includes, a block at the top showing the Alphabet done in beautiful penmanship writing, next is a poem, and then an address with part of a letter written out.
And one more from our friend Daniela. This one might be my favorite of the Italian pieces that she shared! Here we see 2 fantastic Spencerian Fish, or perhaps they are Sea Monsters, framing up a beautiful series of Alphabets.
This one is from my Antique Spencerian Script book. It’s a guide to show how much to Slant Letters.
And from the same book, I believe this one is teaching spacing. It has 2 cute rulers on the page.
Monogram Script
This last one is from an Antique Monogram Book. The engraved lettering is so incredibly ornate! Wouldn’t these be beautiful on silver pieces or towels. Showy!
I hope you enjoyed this fun curated collection of Vintage Ephemera Script! Check out more of these beautiful types of pieces in our Old Paper Textures Collection HERE.

Hi Karen, thank you for all the lovely images in 300 dpi. Unfortunately that lovely blue French bookkeeping document is only 96 dpi. I downloaded it previously and it does not make a very clear print. So sorry about that. Is there anything one can do to change it?

Hi Nellie, Thank you for letting me know. I don’t have the original on that one, since it was sent to me by a friend. But I have played with it a bit and I think I have it looking pretty good at 300 dpi. I’ve added a link underneath of the document, just click on the link to download the PDF. Sometimes an ad will pop up in between the pictures and the links, so if you don’t see it directly under just scroll a little bit and it should be there. I hope it will work for you now!
