5 Ironwork Scroll Clipart
Hey crafters, DIYers, and Collage artists! Today I’m sharing some iron scroll clipart that you can use on your next project. This set of images is perfect for adding a little bit of rustic charm to your designs with the intricate scrolls and detailed leaves. Many of these are French Designs from an Antique Architectural book in Emily’s collection. She lent me the book years ago, before she was my partner on the Premium site even, and was very generous to allow me to scan them and share them on the blog. I’ve consolidated them into this one collection to make it easier for you guys to find them all.
Ironwork Scroll Clipart
This is an exceptionally gorgeous French Iron Work Image!! Shown above is a beautiful Ornate piece of Iron work with loads of Scrolls and Flourishes! Used for fancy gates and fences, these strong and sturdy creations were very expensive. Only the wealthiest families could afford them. This type of Ornament is perfect for making your own Handmade Cards or Stationery. It would be great for Wedding Design projects too! Scanned from a fantastic Circa 1857 French Architecture book that is actually from Emily’s collection, she so kindly lent it to me so that I could share some of the images with you guys! Old Ironwork Graphics
Some time ago I paid quite a pretty penny for this amazing antique Hardware catalog, circa 1895! It was worth every cent, as it is full of captivating wire and iron images. It shows some truly fabulous ornate wrought iron. The above image is actually a door grille. Handmade by an expert Artisan known of course as a Blacksmith, as are the others in this series, the ironworks were quite impressive in their intricate designs and details. This one has an elaborate design of curls, arcs, and flourishes. The circular elements of this one are just amazing. Quite fancy!
Pictured above is a quite Marvelous Set of French Architectural Ornaments! Displayed are three impressive Decorative Ornaments with lots of curvy Romantic Scrolls and Swirls on them! The top drawing has a nice flowing shape and numerous scroll and flourish embellishments along with a few flowers. The middle image has a great frame with several oval interior elements. The bottom graphic resembles an ancient harp to me. It has scrolls, acanthus leaves, and a large circle at top. These were actually designed to be a part of a French Iron Railing, but I thought these could be used for a variety of Graphics Applications and Designs, as could the other splendid images featured above as well!
