Featured above is a very pretty Victorian girl, who is riding a big beautiful butterfly! The darling little girl has golden curls with two blue bows on each side. She is wearing a fancy blue dress with a big lace collar. Her blue shoes and white stockings are shown as well. She is holding a bouquet of white flowers, possibly daisies, high above her head. The card reads, “Thoughts of you. May ever brighter days unfold Along the path before you.” Such a nice, inspiring message, isn’t it?! You can find the companion card just below.

Here is the companion card to the one I posted above. I really adore the subject and color of this card. This antique postcard features a sweet Victorian boy riding the most beautiful dragonfly through the air!! The boy wears a white sailor suit with red collar, cuffs, and socks. The pastel watercolor background is just amazing. The sweet and meaningful Birthday Greeting says, “May many birthdays yet be yours to know. And countless blessings future years bestow.” Another wonderful message!

Here is the latest addition to this collection. This cute card is part of the same set as the 2 above. The little boy in the picture appears to be quite fascinated by that giant Beetle!

Antique Children with Bugs Illustrations

This is another sweet little “Fine Shoes” Trade card! Pictured above we have a lovely young girl who is lying in the center of some bright blue flowers. She’s feeding some birds, while some blue butterflies watch. Such pretty colors in this one! What a wonderful example of the beauty of nature and human interaction with the lovely plants and wildlife!

Here we have such a sweet Advertising Trade card for shoes. This one shows a nicely dressed little boy among the flowers and bees. He is apparently blowing the petals off of a flower as indicated by his puffy cheeks and a few petals falling off. His companions are a giant bee and a tiny bird! Once again such pretty, vibrant colors are presented. So charming!

This is a fun Chasing Butterflies Image. This cute image was scanned from an Early German Children’s School Book, also called a Reader. Shown above is a primitive illustration of a young Boy chasing after a Butterfly. He appears to be trying to use his Hat as a Net, to catch it with. So cute! I like the little rectangular shaped border around this one, I think it would make a nice sticker.
