How to Draw a Cute Mushroom Step by Step
Kids or grown ups alike can follow these simple steps with fun Drawing guide! I would recommend creating this with a pencil, as you can erase if you have any mistakes. But you can always draw over your sketch with an ink Pen or marker when you are done, to define it some more. Have fun creating your Fungi!
Mushroom Drawing Step 1
Step 1: Let’s draw the Mushroom’s cap. Start by drawing a simple shape that looks like a bell. As you can see it’s tilted off to one side. Leave a space at the base for the stem.
Step 2
Step 2: Next we can add a little more detail to the Cap. Draw a line that looks a bit like the bottom of a shoe, to the bottom of the Mushroom cap. This will be the inner rim.
Step 3
Step 3: Now we will create the stem as shown above. It’s curved towards one side and if you look closely you will see that at the top of the stem… the edge is sort of ruffled. The bottom of the stem is squared off a bit.
Step 4
Step 4: I think you can see why the stem was ruffled now. It creates some definition so that you can add in the lines (or Gills) of the underside of the Mushroom cap. Extend the lines to the edge. The gills look a bit like pleated fabric to me!
Step 5
Step 5: We will sketch the spots on the cap next. Make some random circles on the cap. You will want to vary the size and shape of them. Notice that the ones on the edge are only partial circles. Also add in a partial line along the edge of the cap to define it some more. Now you have a very cute Simple Cartoon Mushroom Drawing. You could stop here if you wanted to, or continue on to add a bit more detail below.
Step 6
Step 6: You can add a bit more detail to your Mushroom if you like, by adding a little baby Mushroom next to it, and drawing in some blades of grass like you see above.
The only thing left to do now is to color in your Cute Mushroom! Go grab your markers, Crayola crayons, oil pastels or color pencils, or whatever you have on hand, and finish your artwork masterpiece! I colored this cutie in with a bright red shade and white polka dots, but you can let your creativity go wild and use whatever colors you like! You get to decide!
