7 Natural History Moth and Butterfly Prints
Today we have a wonderful collection of Natural History Moth and Butterfly Prints! Several of these are gorgeous French Prints from my collection. I wish I had the entire book of these, but I was only able to acquire a few prints from a French seller. I’ve had these for quite a few years now. Since some are Moths and some are Butterflies I decided to combine them together in this set, as they would look lovely framed and hung on a wall all together.
And I’ve added a few other favorites as well. I’m sure you will find many uses for these, they would look lovely in any nature themed Junk Journal. Another way that I like to use these Antique prints, is to just display them under a glass cloche … perhaps with a few bits of nature collected from outside, like acorns, a bird or wasp nest etc to add interest to the vignette. I hope you enjoy these beautiful illustrations!

Here’s a wonderful Antique French Natural History Print! This one shows four wonderful butterflies, or perhaps moths. It dates to around the mid 1800’s. In addition to these lovely Winged Insects, there is also some fabulous looking Typography included on the print. I’ve created a full size printable PDF here also. I think these colors would look great in your Garden Style DIY or Craft Projects! Additionally, it would go very nicely framed in a collection with the others above.
This one is a wonderful Antique Natural History print of Black and White Butterflies! Each has a hint of gold or creamy yellow. At the top is a flying butterfly with a beautiful golden tone under the wings. There are four images showing different patterns on the wings. At the bottom of the print are two caterpillars. I believe this dates to around the 1880’s. I’ve created another full size printable PDF to print and frame right up!
