Parasol Images
Today we have a charming collection of Parasol Images! Once upon a time well dressed Ladies used Parasols to protect themselves from the Heat and the Sun. Back in my Antique Dealer days I marveled at the variety and beauty of these utilitarian objects. Generally the silk fabric would be shattered from age, but you could sense how finely made they were. And the handles could be especially beautiful. Some of the handles had lovely carvings on them, some were inlaid, and my favorites were the ones with jewels on the end! Not real gemstones mind you, or at least not the ones that I came across, but sparkly and pretty all the same. I hope you enjoying using these in your Handmade Craft and Collage projects.
Parasol Clipart
This first Parasol was from a little Victorian game card in my collection. The very first in the set, according to the number on the card. It features a lovely blue Parasol, with pink flowers and some green tassels on the crooked handle.
Parasol Bridge Cards
Next up we have this super cute set of Parasol Bridge ladies! These charming ladies, were submitted by a very sweet reader named Mona! These are actually the covers to some old bridge score pads. I think the colors are absolutely dreamy, and their dresses and parasols are so lovely! The first image shows a red head lady with a blue and black striped umbrella.
Next we have a cute lady dressed in pink and frills! She has a parasol that matches.
Lady Number 3 has a full ruffled skirt and red accents, including her umbrella. She has quite a flirtatious expression on her face!
The last lady is dressed in pink and white. She has giant pink polka dots on her dress and loads of ruffles around her neck and wrists. So cute! Thank you Mona!
This is a lovely antique card, showing a Victorian woman with a pretty Parasol! I really like her striped dress! This cute card is long and skinny and would probably make a nice bookmark. You could add a tassel to the bottom if you liked.
This is a cute Vintage Calendar Lady Image! Shown above is a pretty young Woman, wearing a Yellow Dress and a matching Parasol. She is ushering in the months of May, June, July and August. There are some cute Daisies surrounding the edge of the oval frame.
This is a cute Vintage Seaside Image! Shown above is a darling Seaside Scene with a young Couple under a Red Parasol. They appear to be sneaking a kiss! A fun old timey advertising image for a Clothing company it looks like. The advertisement is shown on the sail of the boat that’s passing by.
I hope you enjoyed this fun curated collection! You might also like our Umbrella Images HERE and our Victorian Fashion Prints HERE.
