Victorian Shoe Images
This is a lovely shoe engraving from an 1850’s English book. The beautiful shoe shown above was a design made for Queen Victoria herself! A nice little ballet flat, with lots of pretty detail in the design, it is quite impressive!
Here is one that displays the detail of a gorgeous shoe clip. According to the same 1850’s book, the bow was made of blue silk! There is a very intricate and ornate design with lace and ribbon. WOW!
Victorian Ladies Boot Pictures
Above is a gorgeous Ladies boot. This is from an Old Wanamaker’s Catalog. It is a two toned mid calf version with great stitching details. The long lace ends in a simple bow. Very stylish looking, but I can’t imagine trying to squeeze my toes into those pointy tips!
Here we have a fancy Woman’s boot from the same Wanamaker’s Catalog. This one is a button up boot. I love the scalloped edge detail around the button holes. Can you just imagine getting these buttoned up with the help of a button hook?
Edwardian Shoe Images
Pictured above is an illustration of a John Wanamaker Ladies shoe. This one features laces and an elongated pointy toe! It also has a low French heel design that I really like.
This is a graceful Ladies Edwardian shoe with a French heel. It reminds me of old wing tip shoes. This is a two tone shoe with laces and that familiar pointed toe.
This is a fancy looking black and white Illustration of a cute Ladies Shoe along with her textured Stocking too! This one is from a rare early 1900’s Printer’s book.
Edwardian Dress Shoe Illustrations
Here is another style of a Ladies shoe from an antique Edwardian Clothing Catalog. This one has a nice buckle and pretty fan like flap along the top, and sports a French heel as well.
Here we have a pretty Ladies shoe from the Edwardian Catalog! This shoe appears to be a simple classic pump slipper with a single wide button on flap across the vamp. Edwardian slippers were not just for bedrooms. This white satin version shown was probably a day shoe for an elegant woman.
Above is a beautiful Ladies shoe style also from the Edwardian Catalog! I love how fancy this one is. The low heeled shoe is black, and features crisscross ribbons elegantly going up the ankle and ending in the most adorable little bow just above the ankle! So Pretty!
Funky Shoe Scrap
This is a fun Victorian Advertising Scrap! The scrap is die cut into the shape of a Ladies high top shoe or boot. There is a also a little scene of a boy and a girl standing on a rock at the beach. This image advertises Priesmeyer Shoes. So cute!
I really love this quirky graphic!! This is an Antique Victorian Scrap showing a Ladies high top boot with a roller skate strapped onto it. It even has roses popping out of the top!
