17 Retro Christmas Images

Today we have a cute and fun collection of Retro Christmas Images! This a marvelous set of 1950’s Vintage Christmas Images. Many of us who are of a certain age … ahem… may feel quite nostalgic about this collection, and hopefully they bring back happy Christmas memories from your childhood. All of these Christmas graphics are bright and colorful.

We have some nice Printable Ornaments in the mix. You could print the images onto some card stock, cut them out, then hang them on your Christmas Tree! I think they would also make darling Handmade Christmas Cards, add some glitter or your own personal touches, for your friends and family.

Vintage 1950’s Christmas Images of Ornaments

Here is a super cute Retro Christmas Image of a darling Gingerbread Man! He was scanned from an old Children’s activity book. The book does not have a copyright date in it, but appears to have been made around the 1950′s. It was originally used as paper ornaments to be punched out and hung on a Christmas Tree! You can find more of these below. You could print the images onto some card stock, cut them out, and do the same. I think they would also make a fun Handmade Christmas Card or be nice for Scrapbooking projects!

Pictured above is a Free Vintage Christmas Clip Art Image of a cute Candy Cane! The Candy Cane is so fun and festive with the bright red stripes and green ribbon around it! This one was also originally made as a paper ornament.

This is another super cute Retro Image from the old box of 1950s – 1960s Christmas Cards that I received recently! Shown above is a darling Christmas Cottage. The lovely house is painted red with green shutters. There’s a bunch of Gingerbread Trim and a Snow covered Roof. Charming.

Here we have a Sweet Retro Christmas Image of a Blue Bird with a bright pink tail! It was scanned from an old Children’s activity book. This is a paper ornament to be punched out and hung on a Christmas Tree! This is a quirky little Retro Graphic for you! The fun Christmas Tree seen above is from an early 1970’s pamphlet. I don’t normally share images that are this recent due to copyright, but since this one is from a U.S. government pamphlet it should be safe to use, at least for those of us in the U.S.

Here we have a bit of fun Retro Typography for you to play with! I found this wonderful Flocked “Merry Christmas” Greeting on the cover of a 1940’s Coloring Book! Isn’t it adorable?!!

This is another punch out ornament from the vintage Christmas book. Here we see a sweet little Red Stocking with white ric-rac trim and 2 jingle bells. There is a darling motif of a smiling Snowman as well. So cute!

This is another from the old punch out ornament book. It’s a set of 2 cute golden bells that are tied up with some blue rope!

Here is the latest addition to this collection. This one is a shiny gold Horn with a bright pink Bow on it. So festive!

Adorable Retro Christmas Reindeer Pictures

Pictured here is another darling Retro Christmas Image! This one is a colorful cute Reindeer! He looks so festive with all the streamers and ornaments hanging in his antlers! This is another one from the 1950’s – 1960’s Christmas Card box.

This is a darling Retro Christmas Reindeer Image! I love the colorful Santa Suit attire and the beautiful ice-blue eyes of the precious young deer.

Dog and Cat 1950s Christmas Graphics

Above is a Retro Christmas Poodles Image! This fun image was scanned from a fabulous Vintage Wrapping Paper Sample book! The book dates to Circa 1954, but does not appear to have ever held a copyright on it, as there is no copyright date in the book. I just love the two adorable Gray/Black Poodles! Each Poodle is wearing a red collar with a bell on it, and is framed up with a pretty Holly Christmas Wreath!

Here’s a sweet little Retro Christmas clip art image! This one shows a dear little white Kitten with a green bow who is sitting next to a big red candle. This is another splendid one from the box of 50’s-60s Christmas Cards.

Christmas Bunnies

These are two darling Vintage Christmas Bunnies from a set of  Retro Christmas Cards that I picked up last year! Such a sweet scene, with the Holly Berries, Snowy Pine branches and little Bird! These date to around the late 1950s to early 1960s. I have the original box, and there is no copyright date on them, so I don’t believe they ever held a copyright, but I can’t guarantee it.

Retro Christmas Balls

This darling Christmas Ornament image was from an old cardboard store display. The image probably dates to around the 1950’s. I believe it falls in the public domain, since the copyright does not appear to have been registered, and it was published before 1977. I love the simplicity of this traditional red Christmas ball, and I thought it would make a great label. Therefore, I added the To and From in a fun font for you, in case you would like to use it on your gifts!
