How to Draw a Snail Step by Step
Kids or grown ups alike can follow these simple steps with this Snail Drawing guide! I would recommend creating your drawing with a pencil, as you can erase if you have any mistakes. But you can always draw over it with an ink Pen or marker when you are done, to define it some more. You might find our Drawing Supplies for Beginners Post HERE useful.
Snail Drawing Step 1
Step 1: Let’s start with the Snail’s head and neck. To do that, draw a rounded shape that is slightly tilted to the right and extends down to the left.
Step 2: Then, let’s proceed in sketching his shell. Make a circular type shape starting next to his neck and wrapping around. Then create a spiral in the center.
Step 3: Add his tail next on the other side of his shell. And then draw some antennae on top of his head by creating 2 lines with circles on top, on either side of his head.
Step 4: Next we will draw his eye by adding a Circle with a second filled in circle inside of that. Make sure you leave a white dot for the highlight. Add a few dots for his nose and add some dots for the eyes in his Antennae too.
Step 5: Finish your cute guy by adding some lines on his shell in order to create ridges. Adorable!
The only thing left to do now is to color in your cute Gastropod. Go grab your markers, Crayola crayons, oil pastels or color pencils, or whatever you have on hand, and finish your artwork masterpiece! This one is colored in with a brown shell and green body, but you can let your creativity go wild and use whatever colors you like. You get to decide!
