Softcover Traveler’s Junk Journal
Hey guys. Lynne Morgado from Mockingbird and Main, one of our fabulous Junk Journal Design Team Members, is back with us this week. As you probably know by now, each week we are featuring a different Junk Journal created by some world-class artists. We hope you have been inspired by this series! Lynne created this captivating Flora and Fauna themed Softcover Traveler’s Junk Journal for the month of November. I will step aside and let Lynne tell you all about it in her own words…
Stepping Out of My Comfort Zone
Hello again everyone, it’s Lynne from Mockingbird and Maine. For November’s Design Team Junk Journal I decided to step out of my comfort zone a little. I created a notebook size softcover traveler’s junk journal. I bound it with a 5 hole pamphlet stitch and exposed stitching for the first time, and I am thrilled with the results. If you haven’t tried the 5 hole pamphlet stitch I recommend it. It was very easy, and keeps signatures nice and secure. It is my new go to binding method. Anyway, back to the journal…This is a Flora and Fauna theme junk journal loaded with birds, botanicals, butterflies and maybe a few bugs…

Lisa, I was also wondering what was the purpose, didn’t see a lot of blank space or blank pages for writing down a lot of thoughts or memories. It’s pretty though, just like something a little more functional myself.

These journals are very pretty, but what is their purpose?
graphicsfairy says
They are for journaling, writing down thoughts or memories…whatever strikes your fancy 🙂 The creation of them is an artistic journey.
