12+ House Plant Clipart Images – Victorian
Today we have an amazing collection of House Plant Clipart Images – Victorian! The images featured below are beautiful Black and White House Plant graphics. All of the Engravings are drawings of lovely House Plants in magnificent Victorian Urns or Planters. We even have some hanging plants. The antique drawings are highly detailed and exquisite examples of how the Victorians lived with plants. These wonderful Engravings would look great in your Spring themed or Garden Style projects. They would also make some pretty Notecards in my view. They are nice the way they are, but would be fun to color in too! I am thinking that any of these graphics would be lovely to use on a DIY Pillow, perhaps for a Porch!
House Plant Clipart Images
Here we have a delightful Pedestal Planter reminiscent of French urns, planters of bronze, or even cast iron. The shallow urn features a rolled decorative top edge over a round basin bowl and set upon a footed round base. The top edge looks like large petals or leaves. I like the frilly look of the house plant. I wonder what it is?
Above is a graceful metal urn on a pedestal. It has a short upper beaded border over a lobed basin. The handles are beautiful scrolls of acanthus leaves attached on either side. Oval petal designs surround the basin. The pedestal has no decoration except for varying layers of circular elements just underneath the basin. The tall, large leafed plant looks almost too big for the planter. Elegant!
This Victorian Urn has a deep planting well housing a sort of palm. The urn is decorated with a leafy swag element. A palmette design accents the bottom of the basin. The pedestal is fairly short and the bottom is larger than the basin.
This lovely Potted Plant image comes from a Victorian Book on Indoor Gardening! I love the Fancy Urns that were used to house the plants. This one looks like a French cast iron garden urn planter. It has an open, scroll pedestal base with ornate acanthus leaf handles. I adore the large spotted weeping leaves and frilly edges, and would enjoy having this plant in my home!
Shown above is a fairly simple Vintage Garden Urn! This one has a wonderful classic shaped Urn or Planter. Made of metal, possibly iron, the urn contains a beautiful tropical houseplant with captivating striped leaves.
Featured above is a Vintage Plant in Urn Image! This is a marvelous Old Engraving of a House Plant in an ornate pot. This scanned Rare Circa 1860’s Ornamental Plant Book Image displays a square planter with shallow well and simple, geometric elements. There is a round wreath decoration in the center.
Here we have a large plant in a tiny pot! Nothing fancy here, just a simple little pot. Perhaps it will be transplanted outdoors later.
Victorian Plant Stand
Here is a beautiful collection of plants on a Victorian Plant Stand. This is quite a showy display! This is a Circa 1870s Image.
Here is the latest addition to this collection. This is a pretty ornate looking stand with some lovely carvings on it!
Vintage Topiary Image
Now this one was probably meant to be outside, instead of indoors, but I suppose it could go in if you have a large enough house. At any rate it’s a beautiful Vintage Topiary Image and Topiary pictures are quite difficult to find! This one was created by one of my favorite artists Kate Greenaway. Beautiful!

I’m thinking that these graphics would be great as a sepia colored background to some adhered flowers for a card front! I think that is how I’m going to use them!

Ooh, pretty! I can see these printed on vintage dictionary or encyclopedia pages and framed either individually or in a collage… what a nice gift for a plant-lover!
