8 Glove Box Lady Images
Today we have a nostalgic collection of Glove Box Lady Images! What is a Glove Box Lady you may ask? Well, back in Victorian times, ladies owned special boxes to keep their gloves in. The boxes were often quite decorative and beautiful. The images below would have been created to adorn those types of boxes. After you’ve seen a few of these, you start to get a feel for what they look like, and you may spot them at Antique shows and Flea Markets. They are fun to collect! Most of these beautifully illustrated pictures feature lovely young women wearing gloves. They would make a nice gift tag to use when you are gifting gloves for the holidays! Any of these images would be sweet to use in a Junk Journal or Mixed Media project as well.
Victorian Ladies Wearing Gloves Images
This is a beautiful Fashion Plate Lady Image! Shown here is a lovely and fashionable young woman! She’s dressed in a light blue Silk Gown with lace down the front and a fancy white Fur Wrap! She is well accessorized with white Gloves along with gold and Pearl Jewelry! This lady was intended to be used on top of a Glove box, but she never made it. She is in pristine condition! Hope you love her. This is a fashionable looking Victorian Woman Picture. The beautiful girl is wearing a beautiful lace wrap over a buttoned corset dress. Just look at that tiny waist!! Her full length gloves are beautiful. She wears gold bracelets and a watch over the gloves, and has a sweet bouquet of flowers in her upswept hair. Lovely!
Pictured above is a beautiful Victorian Lady Image! This fashionably dressed Woman is wearing a Dark Red, almost rust colored Velvet Dress with a bustle in the back. She has on a matching Hat with an Ostrich plume on top of it. She’s also wearing long gloves. The Lady is holding a book and a little suitcase; if you look closely you’ll see that the book says “Album” on it. Perhaps she is heading off to a Scrapbook crop with her friends!!
Floral Glove Box Lady Sets
Above we have some charming Romantic Lady with Floral Wreath Images! Shown is a lovely Woman dressed in White with Lavender accents. She is wearing a very large Fancy Hat! She is framed up with a gorgeous frame of Purple Violets in combination with a purple Ribbon trailing along the bottom. Around the frame is a lovely patterned paper with more Violets on a greenish gold background. So pretty!! There are three options here for you to choose from for your projects. We have the original image at the top. The second image is of the lady with the frame removed from the Background. Our last option is just the Frame and the background paper with the woman removed. Enjoy!
This one is a Glamorous Lady with Floral Frame Image! Featured above is a pretty Lady dressed in Pink and Black with a very large Fancy Hat! She is framed up with a gorgeous frame of lush Pink Roses and a pretty Pink Ribbon trailing along the bottom. Around the frame is a lovely patterned paper with more Pink Roses on a green striped background. So pretty!! I have given you several options one again. The lady with frame is the original image at the top here. I isolated the woman and the frame for your second choice. Lastly, I have removed the lady and left the Frame and background for you. Lots of choices here! I think this one and the purple one above would make pretty book marks.

Hi Karen,
I think you’ll find this lady is carrying an Autograph Album, as was the tradition of ladies at the time. Have a look at this article & photograph of one found about 11yrs ago in Sydney. I used to love reading the entries in my grandmother’s Autograph Album when I was a child. It even inspired me to carry my own with me everywhere I went as a teen in the 1980s.
