This one was scanned from an 1880’s book. Here we see a lovely Victorian Table, looks like Eastlake possibly, with a fringed tablecloth and small cage on top of it. You can see the little bird inside of it!
I think this one is super cute!!! I love vintage Bird Cage images, and the cage seen here is especially cute I think, especially because of it’s fancy iron stand! This one comes from a “Caring for Birds” book dated 1915.
This gorgeous Fancy Victorian Bird Cage is from an 1880’s Window Gardening book! I don’t think I’ve ever seen one exactly like this in person before. It has some fabulous arches along the top and a wonderful ornate stand. There are several Birds flying around inside of it.

Hi!
The Fancy Victorian Birdcage cannot be clipped. It’s the best one, too! (They are all wonderful.)
Appreciate it if you could fix it.

Thank you so much! So that background images can be seen through the cage bars, I will probably print these out on overhead projector acetate (made for printers). I am so excited!

Oh that sounds like fun Barb, good luck!

Karen, Thanks for so many images. I have been saving them for a few months now and am ready to transfer some images to fabric. A while back one of your contributors mentioned a product that she preferred over the Transfer Artist Paper. Do you recall what it was or did I just dream that up. I used the TAP the other day on a sample and noted the residue left where I did not trim it close enough, The fabric was on the dark side and the residue really showed up. Any suggestions for removing it from an article that will not be washed?
Thank you
Beth
Karen Watson says
Hi Beth, I’m not sure about that, I’ve only ever used it on light colored fabrics. I would check the instructions in the packet and if there isn’t anything there, then you might try asking Lesley Riley (the maker of TAP) on her Facebook page. She’s very nice and I’m sure she will help you with your questions. Here’s a link https://www.facebook.com/LesleyRiley.ArtistSuccess I hope that helps!

Howdy just wanted to give you a quick heads up and let you know a few of the images aren’t loading correctly.
I’m not sure why but I think its a linking issue.
I’ve tried it in two different web browsers and both show the same outcome.
Karen Watson says
Hi Kat, Sorry you’re having trouble! Can you tell me which images aren’t loading for you? Is this bird cage one of them?
