14 Snowflake Clipart Images
Today we have a fun collection of Snowflake Clipart Images! Featured below are Snowflakes Illustrations, many of them are from a very old Encyclopedia, they are drawings of actual Frozen Snow Crystals, I think they are lovely. They are a bit primitive looking, yet so fun! Snowflakes are truly one of nature’s wonders, as each and every individual snowflake has a unique symmetrical pattern. They would be great for your Christmas or Winter Projects. Some might tie in well for Hanukkah too!
Vintage Snowflake Clipart Images
Here we have a nice black and white Snowflake clipart drawing. I think this is called a Fern like Stellar Dendrite, which is an actual frozen snow crystal. If anyone is a snowflake guru, please let us know for sure! These crystals are similar to the Stellar Dendrites (see below), but are larger and have many more side branches. These resemble the branches of a fern. Almost always running parallel to their neighboring branches, the side branches are fascinating to me. However, the crystals are not drawn with perfect symmetry. If you look carefully at one arm, you can see that the side branches are not exactly the same on the left side of the arm as the right. Interesting!
The above Snowflake drawing is of an actual frozen snow crystal called a Stellar Dendrite. These are the most recognizable snow crystals. ‘Stellar’ comes from their star-shaped appearance. ‘Dendrite’ means tree-like with connecting branches containing side branches. I like how the middle of this one is so geometrical, and apparently there are tiny balls on the tops of the first arm.
Here we have a very Fern like Stellar Dendrite Snowflake. This drawing of an actual frozen snow crystal with six arms looks very much like the ferns or pine branches in my yard. Splendid!
Pictured above is a Snowflake drawing of an actual frozen snow crystal that has me really guessing. It might be a rimmed Snowflake of Graupel. These develop when the crystal collides with some water droplets. Graupel is the name for soft hail.
Here is another Antique Snowflake drawing of a Fern like Stellar Dendrite. This one is pretty sparse with branches and side branches.
This Old Snowflake illustration is sort of a Stellar Dendrite. The arms of this one has hexagonal prism shapes called Diamond Dust Crystals. They sparkle in the sunlight.
Vintage Snowflake drawing is so fun! I love the six arm star shape inside a hexagon. It reminds me of a starfish! The crystal continues into fern like arms.
The above Snowflake drawing looks to me like a castle with turreted arms. Shaped like an empty spool, I think this is called a basic capped column. It has a twelve armed or branched daisy like center image. This happens when two snowflakes collide in mid air. How cool is that?!
Another pretty one, it looks like it is made with pine branches, doesn’t it?
Featured above is a fabulous Free Snowflake ClipArt Image. It looks like it has rays of sun in the center. This one is perfectly symmetrical with three loops at the end of each arm.
Here is another Snowflake Clip Art Image that formed a Star of David Shape in the middle! I truly think this one is spectacular!
The arms of this Snowflake Graphic actually look like a car part or some type of gear to me. The snowflake displays symmetry with hexagon shapes. The arms have elongated hexagons that end with three shapes. I like the dark lines on it.
Snowflake Illustration
Here is the latest addition to this collection. This one is not from the same book as the ones above. It’s a little more ornate then the others. I think it’s quite pretty!
Color Snowflake Images
Featured above is a Vintage Blue Snowflake. This was actually a punch out ornament from an old Christmas book. It was meant to be cut out and hung as a Christmas ornament. You could print it out and do the same. Just punch a hole in the top and add a hanger. Cute!
I hope you enjoyed this fun curated collection of Snowflake Images! You might also our Winter Landscapes HERE and our Best Merry Christmas Images HERE.

Those are very fun! I posted black and white images today too. They are pen & ink drawings I did that I have not colorized yet so I posted them as is. I figured maybe it would be fun for folks to color them in anyway they want. Please feel free to come by and get them if you would like, or anything I’ve got on my blog. I feel like I’m always grabbing your wonderful graphics and would like to give back. Have a great day!
Chris 🙂
