17 Vintage Marie Antoinette Style Images
Today we have a striking collection of Vintage Marie Antoinette Style Images! Below are a nice mix of actual illustrations of Marie, as well as a number that are not Marie, but that show styles from that same era, I like to think of those other ladies as her friends. All are quite interesting as they truly take you back to a very different time indeed!
The hair styles and oversized fancy decorative hats are definitely attention grabbers. They are all nice French Style pictures to use for your Marie Antoinette projects. Lovely for your Collage, Mixed Media, or Card Making Projects.
Vintage Marie Antoinette Images
I’ve had this one for quite a while. In fact, I thought perhaps I had posted it already but I did a search and didn’t see it, so hopefully it’s not a dupe!! Anyway, this is a really marvelous antique card; perhaps it is a tobacco card with a somewhat unusual picture of Marie Antoinette on it. I just love the creamy tones on this one and thought the back of the card was wonderful with the Paris Address on it, so I included it also.
When I purchased an old book about Marie Antionette, I was fortunate to find that the previous owner had inserted several clippings in it. This graphic is one of those clippings and features Marie in an amazing dress full of bows, ribbons, and lace. Her hair is adorned with Ostrich Plumes, and there is a charming petite crown on the table in front of her.
Here is the latest addition to this collection. You’ll notice that this one is very similar to the one above but it’s a much better quality picture! I love the Ivory tones on this one.

This one is a wonderful old Print of a “Lady of the Court of Louis XVth!” Such a Fashionable French Woman! She’s holding a tiny Bird (Canary?) in her hand. Just look at the fancy Tiny Cage she keeps him in as seen on the bottom right side of the illustration.
Above is a black and white version of the splendid Print of the “Lady of the Court” above. She would be beautiful colored in as well!
Here we have a lovely detailed engraving of Marie Antoinette from an old book! It is a side view portrait in a circle frame. This one was kindly submitted by Stefanie of Rose Petals and Rust.
Women in Large Hats Images
This is a lovely lady with a wonderful large plumed hat. I like the black and white sepia tones on this one!
This is a lovely Vintage Large Hat Lady Image!! Featured above is a pretty Lady dressed in Pink. She’s wearing a very large Hat with big Pink Ostrich Plumes on it! That is quite a bundle to be carrying around on one’s head I think! She appears to be keeping herself cool with a hand held fan. I think she looks like Georgiana, the Duchess of Devonshire.
Here we have a lovely Vintage painting of a Marie Antoinette styled Lady in a beautiful and decorative Pink Dress! She seems to be partial to Roses, as you can see a few in her hand! Behind her is a tranquil looking nature scene with what appears to perhaps be a creek or stream of some sort. So pretty!
Pictured above is a very pretty antique postcard showing a romantic couple! This one has the sentiment of “True Love” written on it and could be used for Valentine’s Day, Anniversaries, Weddings, etc. Such colorful, fancy outfits they are wearing!

Antique French Fan Scrap
Shown above is a nice Antique Scrap Fan that appears to have been used as a Christmas card. The wording on it reads, “With best Wishes of the Season!” I love the aqua blue Cord and Tassel on it along with the lovely Marie Antoinette style woman!
Marie Antoinette Style Hair Styles
This lovely lady came from an 1870’s Costume Book! Someday I’d love to be able to purchase the whole book, but for now I just have a few dreamy pages. I don’t think it’s actually supposed to be Marie Antoinette, but perhaps she was one of her friends! She has an amazing hair style that is chock full of Flowers and Ostrich Plumes. Wouldn’t it be fun to add a little Bird up there as well?!
Aren’t these fun!!! These fashionable Marie Antoinette-esque ladies look so cute with their fancy hair-dos displaying Ostrich Plumes and all! I think these would make a great friendship card, or perhaps a thank you card for your favorite Beautician! Love it!
French Costume Ladies in Fancy Hats
Featured above are a few more of these French Costume Ladies, or friends of Marie Antoinette as I like to call them! These hats were fashionable in France during the 1700’s. I just love how whimsical these ladies look all together here! This would make such a cute card!! It looks a bit like Toile I think.
Here’s another graphic from a page that came out of an 1880’s Paris Costume book! This one shows a lovely well dressed Woman, who is standing next to a pretty French chair against a creamy background. Look at those tiny shoes on her petite feet. The underskirt almost looks like it has writing across it.
I hope you enjoyed this fun curated collection of Vintage Marie Antoinette Style Images! You might also like our 18th Century Fashion Images HERE.

Hello! I have a signed watercolor with this image, but no trees and no background. What can you tell me about this print?
graphicsfairy says
Hi Monica,
Unfortunately there is nothing I can tell you, there was no info about it on the card I purchased. It may be a print from an antique painting, but that’s a guess. Best of luck to you 🙂
