Mother and Child Drawings
This is a Lovely Vintage Mother with Child Illustration! Shown is a young Mother holding her little Boy. They both have sort of sad, wistful expressions. This one comes from a 1914 Children’s book. I love all of the interesting design details on this one!
Shown here is another charming image from the 1914 Children’s Book. A Mother and Child image saying prayers at Bedtime is depicted. So sweet! This is lovely the way it is, but it would also be fun to color in.
This lovely Mother and Child illustration comes from a 1920 Children’s Songbook. The original black and white image is another one that would be fun to color in.
This is a very nice Antique Engraving from a Circa 1888 Book! This Image shows a Mother playing with her Children. I wonder what game they are playing?
The gorgeous image above is from a circa 1916 lady’s magazine. This was actually an advertisement for a baby book. The image shows a lovely young mother with her sweet baby; there’s even a cute puppy as well!!
Featured above is a Sweet Vintage Mother’s Day with Baby Image! The black and white illustration displays a lovely Mother holding her Child.
Mother’s Day Engraving
Pictured above is a lovely antique engraving of a Mother and child. It looks like it’s morning time and the child is being woken up for the day by her loving Mother.
Here we have a Beautiful Vintage Mother Engraving with Children! Make sure you enlarge this one to see all of the fabulous detail on it! I’m not sure if the child on the left is her child; perhaps he is a Cherub. However, either way he’s pretty cute! I love the little Doves at the bottom of the illustration!
Mother and Child Silhouette Images
I love this Delightful Vintage Mother and Son Silhouette Image! The highly-detailed silhouette of a Mother sitting in a chair with her son leaning against her knees while speaking to her is just breathtaking! He wears a sailor suit and boots with laces while she wears a dress with collar and a bow. You can even see their wispy hair tendrils. Under her chair is a kitten playing with yarn in a knitting basket as the Momma cat looks on. A toy train is at the boy’s feet.
Here is another charming Silhouette Image from an 1870’s Children’s book! This one shows a Mother and Son. It appears that she is scolding him. Do you think he was running through the house with his little Hobby Horse? Such a darling Graphic.
Here is the latest addition to this collection. Here’s a sweet illustration of a Mom and her little girl. They appear to be playing some sort of hand game or perhaps they are just having a conversation.
Storytime Pictures
Shown above is a charming black and white illustration of a Mother and Child. The Mother is reading a Book to the little Girl and the child is helping her turn the pages. So sweet! This image was scanned from a Circa 1871 Gardening Book, it was actually an advertisement that was found in the back of the book.
I hope you enjoyed this fun curated collection of Mother and Child Illustrations! You might also like our Favorite Mother’s Day Images HERE!
