Hi there everyone, this is Andrea from The Cottage Market and I sure hope you are having a fabulous and wonderful Holiday Season! The New Year is right around the corner so I thought that it would be fun to share a quick & easy Creative Art Display diy that you can use to show-off some new art in your home, studio, office or even your classroom! Many of you have seen the wonderful clipboard method of hanging but I took it a step further. Not only did I choose a fabulous chalkboard piece of art from the Graphics Fairy, I also chose a corresponding graphic to create an embellishment with, in this case a coffee grinder. You can use the same method for ANY of the amazing graphics here. You can make sets or even large groupings. I and a 1 1/2 inch circle is the perfect size to cover up the word Staples which was on my new clipboard, I wanted to share that with you so you know where to get them very inexpensively and this little trick customizes it with just a little bit of effort. Let me show you what I did!
All you will need is a clipboard, your favorite Graphics Fairy Print, I used a back sheet under my print for just a tad of dimension, then a bit of paint, a brush a 1 1/2 inch wooden circle (or equivalent illustration board…cardboard…etc. and some glue.
It is now time to paint the wooden disc.
Now cut out your corresponding graphic carefully.
Now apply your graphic to the painted disc with your favorite glue. I used Modge Podge and I also sealed it with Modge Podge.
Now all you have left to do is to assemble your display. I hot glued the embellishment to the clipboard clip and as you can see it covers the ad on it perfectly. Then I placed a piece of scrapbook paper underneath and my print on top…viola…instant art!
It’s a cinch and it looks perfect every time!
Looks clean and crisp!
It is now ready to hang and all you need is a nail…the hole to hang with is all ready on your clipboard.
Can you believe how quick and easy this is and can you believe the POSSIBILITIES you have waiting for you in the Graphics Fairy Library of Art…the sky is the limit! I sure hope you enjoyed this little tutorial and I hope you make many…fill the wall up with art and the best thing is is if you want to change up the art it is so easy to so it! I have ever though of putting a piece of velcro on the clip…that way I can interchange the embellishment every time I change the art! Wishing you all a fabulous and wonderful NEW YEAR and I can’t wait to see you again soon…if you want to come and say hello I am always hanging out at
The Cottage Market!
Hugs to All!!!!
