7 Succulents and Cactus Images
Today we have a cute collection of Succulents and Cactus Images! We have a Cactus Botanical Image with bright yellow flowers. There are some showy cactus images with colorful blooms. Also included are some fun Black and White Succulents and Cactus drawings. This is truly an interesting set of images. You can really get to know and understand succulents and cacti. All are nice pictures to use in your Garden, Southwest Craft, or Collage Projects! So nice to frame and hang ‘as is.’
Cactus Images
This is the newest addition to this collection. Featured above is an interesting looking Cactus garden, with 5 different species all growing together. I love the super tall one in the middle!
Black and White Succulent Images
Isn’t this a stunning Venus Fly Trap Plant Image?! Shown above is a Creepy Old Engraving of a Venus Fly Trap complete with Flies! They are soon to be food for this plant. The tall central flower cluster is just gorgeous. This Image was scanned from a Rare Cactus Catalog. There was no date on the Catalog, but my best guess is that it was published in the 1880’s-1890’s period.
Pictured above is another Vintage Cactus Image! This is a selection of very unusual looking Cactus Plants! These plants are tall with spiky stems. The tops are thick, wavy, and leaf-like in shapes that are fascinating to me. They are thick and sturdy of course, unlike the thin leaves they resemble. I love the four unique potting vessels in this collection. I imagine that the gardener who owns these must cultivate them.
I hope you enjoyed this fun curated collection of Succulents and Cactus Images!! You might also like our Circa 1905 Garden Flower Illustrations HERE or 10+ Best Vintage Herb Images HERE!

Is it just me (or my iPhone), but is part of this image missing?
BTW, thanks for the many years of useful images…
Happy New Year,

It’s just the top part of the cactus. This was scanned from a botanical book with multiple plants on the page, this was all that there was. Actually one of the leaves was cut in half too, but we made it whole again so that the image would be more usable.

Thanks for the reply!
Susan Perkins says
You might like to know that the insect on the cactus pad is more than likely a cochineal. The cochineal is a small beetle that cause a whitish/grey scale on the cactus pads. American Indians, and later Europeans, have used this little insect to create beautiful red dyes.

Thanks so much for the info Susan!

Thanks for the really interesting comment. I love in a northern state and I’ve never seen a cactus growing in the wild.

Thank you. It would be nice to have more succulents and other desert motifs for those who live in arid climates. I’m sure they are fewer in number.

Thanks for your input Peggy!
