12 Best Burlap Project Ideas
Today I’ve rounded up 12+ Best Burlap Project Ideas! Burlap is such a wonderfully versatile fabric when it comes to Craft and DIY Projects. This material is so fabulously rustic and it lends itself very well to Farmhouse or Country Style Décor. It’s extremely easy to find and the price can’t be beat, as it’s very inexpensive. I’ve seen Burlap used in everything from Curtains, to tablecloths to Pillows, Table Runners and Lampshades too! You can paint it, stencil it, hot glue it, sew it. You really can’t go wrong with this fabric! All of these pretty crafts and projects were created using Vintage Graphics from my site. Can you tell me how to make burlap flowers and leaves without them raveling out? I have burlap and dies but they burlap ravels out so bad. Edwina Brown

Try spraying the ends with a sealant spray 🙂

There is also a product called “Fray Check” which “Prevents fabric from fraying and secures thread ends” and is “Washable and dry cleanable.” I’ve used it with success for similar projects; if you are die-cutting the burlap, you might want to apply the Fray Check in advance to the area you will be cutting. (You can pre-trace an outline and then apply a little extra width of the product to be included in the cut. Hope that makes sense!) Otherwise, if you handle the cut burlap gently, you should be able to apply the Fray Check afterwards to prevent unraveling. Hope this helps.
