48 Tree Clipart – Trees Images Free
Today I’m offering a marvelously useful collection of Free Tree Clipart Images! These are all vintage Clip Art Illustrations, that were scanned from Antique Books or Prints in my collection. These are a bit different from other Clipart pictures that you might find around online, as they are quite old and so therefore the printing is somewhat distressed, giving them a great vintage, or Retro, style look. These Tree Cliparts are perfect to use in Web Design, Crafts, School Reports, as Teacher Clip Art to use in Classrooms or Sunday Schools, for Power Points Presentations and they would make great Photoshop Brushes too, for all sorts of Graphics Design Projects.
I hope you can find some uses for these Tree Images in your projects. I’m offering each images of the Trees in a couple of different colors, like Black and White and also Green of course. And there are a number of different types of trees designs as well, including Silhouette Trees, Spooky versions, Realistic and Stylized versions. These additional options lend themselves well to Holiday Designs, Birthdays, Scrapbooking, Nature themed projects and more. Just click on the Images to enlarge and then click with the button on the right side of your mouse to save the images, to your computer.
Full Color Tree Clip Art
These beautiful Full Color Tree Clipart images were scanned from an old print that came from an 1875 Encyclopedia. I believe the book was published in Germany. Some of the species I could pick out, other’s I’m not so sure about. Above you can see a classic Shade Tree next to a brook, and Oak, a Pine and a lovely Weeping Willow.
In this next set, the 3 on right side were scanned from that same book, as the row above. One of them may be a Fir tree and one may be a Maple. The one on the far left is from an 1870 French Print and is a Yellow Quinine.
Here is the latest addition to this collection. I’m adding 4 more lovely green beauties to this set. Lots of leafy goodness here!
Trees Clipart -Silhouettes
Our first set of Trees, include a stately looking Elm Tree, a nice bushy Fir Tree, a classic Maple Tree and strong looking Oak. These are all silhouette images that were scanned from a 1920’s Children’s magazine. I think the Fir would work very nicely in Christmas projects. The Maple or Oak would be lovely to use in Spring or Fall Designs.
Here in our next set of Tree images, we have 4 more Varieties. Including a lovely wispy Willow Tree, a beautiful Sycamore, and what I think is a charming Birch tree on the end, judging by the bark. The book did not list the species of the Birch image (that was my guess) or the mystery tree in the center. Perhaps you know what type of tree number 2, in the row is? Any of these would look great in Nature themed projects or designs.
Green Tree Images
Now, I’ve gone ahead and taken those same Tree images from the top of the page, and have created some green versions for you. Hopefully these will additional options will be useful to you, and give you some versatility for your projects.
And I’ve given you more green options here with the second set as well.
Palm Tree Clipart Black and White
This is the latest addition to this collection. Here is a wonderful tropical selection. I feel like I’m on vacation already! Included are 4 lovely Palms including a Plantain, Palmetto, Fan Palm and Banana Tree.
Spooky Clipart Trees
Next we have this marvelous collection of 4 Spooky looking dead Trees! These are Winter Images with bare tree branches, in fact there isn’t a single leaf left on these guys. They would be great to use in a bleak Winter scene or in front of a Haunted House for a Halloween Design or project. You could even use them for a Family Tree project and write the names of your family members next to the branches.
Stylized Clip Art Trees
This next set of trees are much more stylized. Both appear to be Fruit Trees of some kind and they are more decorative rather than realistic looking. The image on the left would be great to use as brackets, or a sort of frame, for invitations, Scrapbooking, Cards etc. I think both would make a great Photoshop Brush. They would be fun to color in, with colored pencils or markers!
These next to images are so cute and funky looking! The one on the left is some sort of shade tree and the one on the right is a Christmas tree or Pine. They have a modern contemporary look. Although both this pair and the pair above were scanned from an Antique printers book.
Tree Woodcut Pictures
This is an old woodcut image from a very old book. I believe the book dated back to the early 1800’s. It’s a cute little picture, it could be an Oak as it has that type of a shape, but hard to say for sure.
Tree Engraving Images
Featured above are two very old Black and White Tree pictures! One is quite a tall shade tree the other has a quirkier form to it, bushy on the top, with a bare trunk under it.
Retro Style Pictures
Here is the latest addition to this collection. These are some 60’s style fun and funky vegetation pictures. They are so whimsical and cute and I love the bright colors!
I hope you enjoyed this Clip Art collection, there are currently about 40 Tree Images here to play with and I will be sure to add more as I find others in the future. Hopefully you can find ways to use these in your projects, presentations, printables or reports. They would look really cute with some wildlife added! If you use Adobe Photoshop, or a similar image editing program, you can change the color of these, or alter them however you like to fit in with your designs. Let me know if you would like to see more of these types of collections in the future, I’m always curious about what you guys find useful, so feel free to leave a comment below and let me know.

Can never get enough shots of trees, would also like to see some treeline clip art if there is any about – to use in backgrounds etc.
Am also keen to see pictures of cottages/farms/farmyards/winding country roads etc. if you can find any!
Love the images you find for us, and have now joined your Premium membership scheme, which I wish I’d done years ago! Your tutorials especially have opened up my eyes to the endless possibilities of Photoshop – and I’d thought I was quite good at using that programme – now I’m a lot better!

Anonymous,
Are you using Internet Explorer? Try switching to Mozilla Firefox, you will be able to view pages faster and images will load more quickly for you. Most likely the page is loading slowly and the photos don’t open, because time runs out. You can also try refreshing the page, or clicking on the title of the post, so that just the images from that post are displayed. I hope this helps!

sometimes i cannot see the images that you post:( ie: the tree image in this post. would it be because i do not have the appropriate software to view it?
