16 Floral French Ornaments
Today we have a stunning collection of French Ornaments with Flowers! We have several black and white ornament illustrations featuring floral designs, and several have roses. Additionally, there are some rather tall drawings that are very regal. Included are a few French Printers Ornaments. One looks like a coat of arms, and another a keyhole. You can do so much with these. They are nice for Stationary, Invitations, or Web Design, along with Decoupage and Transfers! I also think they are great for Wedding Design and Embroidery projects.
Floral French Ornaments
This is a set of beautiful Engraved Roses from a circa 1850’s Paris Print! The spray at the top shows some charming Roses on an Arrow, in the middle we have a branch with leaves and flowers. I love the little wispy tendrils here and there. I made a Photoshop Brush with it and created the pretty Floral Frame that you see at the bottom.
The above image also comes from the Circa 1850’s Paris Print. I love these Old French Floral Engravings so much. The triangular shape of the design is interesting. There are several flowers and leaves that swag and give movement to the layout. I think these Roses are especially pretty.
Featured above is one of the loveliest ornaments from an old engraving book! This French Basket with Flowers Ornaments is adorned with lovely flowers hanging and spilling out from the basket. The black and white drawing is so detailed.
This one is simple and sweet and a bit rustic looking too. It was scanned from an old French book. Charming!
Tall Ornament Designs
Shown above is a wonderful Vintage Heart Shaped Ornament. The carves heart frame is embellished with Flowers, Leaves, and Scrolls!
Here we have an Ornate Floral Ornament Image! The center piece is an exquisitely designed Urn with beautiful handles. A combination of Flowers along with Leaves and Scrolls winds over the urn an meet below it. This is such a graceful design!
French Printers Ornaments
Above is a wonderfully romantic printer ornament from an old French book! There is so much detail to this gorgeous ornament. Make sure you enlarge it to see. It looks like a Coat of Arms or Family Crest to me. Included in the septi toned illustration are a crown, baskets of flowers, scepters, ribbons, and lots of flourishes and scrolls!
As you can see above I have added another version of this same French Ornament. This one is black and white and I have enlarged it even more to make it more useful for you. I just adore this romantic image!
Here is a Beautiful Free Floral Ornament! These early ornaments were most likely woodcut prints. Notice the wonderful primitive qualities to these, which gives them an old world feel. I like the lovely scrolly looking leaves on these with the pretty Roses.
German Ornamental Design
Here is the latest addition to this collection. This next one is actually German, I’m squeezing it in to this set as I don’t have any other place for it currently. It looks like a Medieval style illustration to me. Interesting!
Floral French Ornaments with Lattice
Here is a Beautiful Fancy Keyhole Ornament! The wonderful graphic has a lovely Romantic Shape with crosshatch, Flowers, and even a Keyhole just above it! It might be fun to use in a Valentine Project with a “Key to my Heart” theme! This comes from a Vintage Catalog.
Pictured above is a drop dead gorgeous French Ornament with loads of Scrolls, Flowers, and a pretty crosshatch Woven Design in the center! I’ve created an option without the crosshatch so that you can use it as a frame! So romantic!
I hope you enjoyed this lovely curated collection of French Ornaments with Flowers! You might also like our favorite wedding graphics and DIYs HERE!

Karen Watson says
Hi Sanadie, We’re so glad you like them! I’m afraid they are not transparent. We do transparent images on our Premium Membership site, but over here on the blog they are mostly Jpegs.
