15 Castle Clip Art
Today we have a beautiful collection of Castle Clip Art Images! We have a marvelous selection of both color and black and white images in this set. Most of them project sort of a majestic and dreamlike beauty I think. It almost seems that they could not be real, but of course castles were at one time fairly commonplace in Europe and other regions of the world. All are splendid pictures to use in your craft or DIY Projects. They would all be fun for your Junk Journal or Card Making projects as well!
Vintage Castle Images
Here is a magical looking castle! Don’t you love all the towers and turrets?! I especially like them along with the other different rooftops. This huge castle has such a beautiful design. The artist who illustrated this fantasy land had quite an imagination! I wonder what the people going down the hill were up to. Truly a remarkable scene!
This is a marvelous Vintage Castle Image! This Vintage Engraving was scanned from an Old Advertising Trade Card. A fun one to use in your Medieval themed Mixed Media Projects!
This vintage piece featured above came from some old sheet music. The pretty illustrated picture of Blarney castle would be great to use in a St Patrick’s Day card or project I think!
I had a reader named Peggy who requested a Landscape scene. It was then that I realized my blog was sadly lacking in landscapes. I think I get stuck in category ruts, as I am attracted to certain types of images, and I continually look for those images over and over. So anyway, this is a beautiful early landscape painted in the 1830’s and features a dramatic “Castle looking” structure to boot! There is a large, expansive landmass of various forms including soft, rolling hills. A pretty blue colored stream runs through the center. Oddly enough, while this looks like a beautiful European castle, it’s actually an American penitentiary!
This is a gorgeous Vintage or rather Antique Engraving of a Castle in Spain! The image dates to Circa 1827 and is from a very old Encyclopedia. This was the Palace of the Escorial. What a lovely scene, it’s almost magical looking, isn’t it?! Such gorgeous colors, perhaps you could create a wonderful Royal themed Card with it!
Black and White Castle Clip Art
Here we see quite a large Castle, that looks a bit spooky to me! Perhaps you could even use it in your Halloween projects.
Here we have a structure with a tall Tower. The view has the eye looking up from the water that surrounds it, which looks like a moat to me!
This is a lovely 1850’s black and white engraving of a Castle, with lots of trees and foliage growing up around it.
This lovely old Black and White Structure, comes from an 1850’s English History book. If you look very closely, you can see a few tiny people in medieval clothing!
Pictured above is a wonderful magical looking Castle from an old Design book! If you look closely you can see the intricate details on this graphic, such as possibly a vegetable garden in front. The details are truly quite impressive. Another example of artistic imagination at its best!
I hope you enjoyed this fun curated collection of Castle Images! You might also like our Vintage Queen Images HERE our Vintage Crown Images HERE.

Hi Karen,
I hope you are staying healthy and safe! I have downloaded your newest collection – they are awesome! I don’t think any castles out there, no matter what country you could go to, would be the same or similar. The fabulous architecture which varies so much can depict a very spooky one, grotesque, stately, royalty or even abandoned.
There must be centuries of stories to be told – they are fascinating to me. Being so massive in size with so much to the intriquite details of each, we could never unveil the secrets behind or within those massively structured walls. This would allow our imaginations to go wild with wondering what the interiors looked like unless you were lucky enough to tour some of them around the world.
But their beauty will always be a part of their mysteries we can only dream about.
Thanks so much for sharing these with us! It’s the perfect time of year to let the imagnations run loose!!
Have a wonderful day and weekend!!

Hi Karen,
Aren’t these incredible, massive looking structures? So prestigious! The first one is my favourite! I can just imagine the interior and how beautiful it would be!
The design is fabulous!
The one which is actually a penitentiary is also interesting. And as for the black and white ones – they are very, very nice!
Castles sure can tell a lot of stories when they are centuries old. I have been to many in England and you just get lost in their world.
Thank you for sharing these with us!
Have a wonderful weekend!
