11 Cute Critter Pictures
What’s cuter than a bunny? A cuddly kitten! But what about a hedgehog or a Guinea Pig? You can’t forget those guys either. I’ve been on the lookout for some cute critter pictures, and this is what I found. I have to admit though, some are cuter than others. Haha! Check them out and have fun using these in your creative projects.
Here we have an Old Porcupine Image! Shown is a little prickly porcupine. The funny thing to me about porcupines is that they are pretty cute but also a bit scary with those sharp spines called quills. This one comes from a fine Circa 1885 German Natural History Book.
Pictured above is another impressive Vintage Porcupine image! The rendering of this delightful little porcupine is so accurately detailed. The artists who illustrated early depictions of animal and plant life were quite amazing in their ability to bring their subjects ‘to life.’ This one is a Circa 1880s image.
This was a rare find that I can hardly believe my luck when coming across this one! Displayed above are two adorable Guinea Pigs who are sharing some leaves. I had one of these little furry creatures as a pet when I was little. So sweet!!
Featured above is an interesting Hedgehog picture presenting a Mama hedgehog with her six adorable babies! Like the ferrets above, this is an animal species that you definitely don’t see everyday! This one is a Circa 1885 critter picture.
Above is a darling Vintage Chipmunk Image! The offering was scanned from a rare and early, Circa 1790’s, German Natural History print in my collection! Featured is a sweet little chipmunk with a striped back and tail. He appears to have found himself an acorn snack! Isn’t he sweet?
Here’s a darling little critter! This Vintage Stock Image is from an early French Zoology print! According to the print this is a Spermophile, which is a type of Ground Squirrel. He looks a lot like a Chipmunk to me. So cute with his spots!
This is another charming critter image from an early French Zoology print. This one is a Marmot or Marmotte in French, which also is a type of Ground Squirrel. This one appears to either be more hairy, heavy, or both compared to the previous ground squirrel!
Here we have a Vintage Mole Image, or something along those lines anyway! Pictured above is a funny looking furry critter with a long snout like nose. Unusual! This one comes from an old German Natural History Book. He has a snout that looks sort of like a shortened version of an Elephant’s.
This is Vintage Opossum Image. Shown above is an illustration of a ‘possum’ up in a tree. His tail wrapped around a branch! This one was also scanned from the 1880’s Natural History Book.
