Decoupaged Ballerina Dresser Tutorial
Today I’m sharing another fantastic DIY project submitted by yet another talented reader! I’m always amazed at what a talented bunch we have hanging out here at TGF! This one was submitted by Sharon McGovern. Sharon transformed a tired looking little chest of drawers into this charming piece that any little girl would flip over!!
Supplies:
1)Annie Sloan Old Ochre Chalk Paint
2) Annie Sloan Clear Wax
4) Old Chest of Drawers
5) Glass Knobs
6) Decoupage Medium such a Mod Podge

Follow Sharon’s steps below to create a similar piece!
Steps:
Step 1) Sent this beautiful image from The graphics fairy to my local printers to be blown up on to A3 very fine paper.
Step 2) Painted in Annie Sloan old ochre and decoupaged the image, cutting to fit each drawer.
Step 3) Finished inside of drawers in a custom made pink Annie sloan old white, mixed with a drop of emperors silk, and added some crystal handles for a bit of bling.

I would recommend that if you have a space inbetween drawers that is quite large like this project that you should crop some of the image away to get rid of the awkward length to the ballerina’s body
