Today, I’m sharing my 15 Favorite Commercial Free Go-To Fonts. These are the fonts I’ve found myself coming back to again and again. I think they look great when combined with one another, added to photos and clip art, and used for web and print design.
I’ve also used these for digital scrapbook and collage projects; I just think they’re all around great fonts.

*A note about downloading, installing & using fonts: There are a lot of sites out there that offer free fonts. Some are set up mostly to display ads, and others take you to suspicious files & links. Even some legitimate sites run confusing ads that feature images that say “download”, when it’s for another product. While we don’t recommend one free font website over another, we have tried to link to the more straightforward sites to make finding the font easier for you. If you click on anything that looks like an application or .exe file, stop, it’s not what you want, and is probably malware. Don’t forget to follow the site’s specific directions to download and install the font. If you are a crafter and will be selling your work, please be sure to read any files or information that comes with the font. Some fonts have restrictions on the commercial use of a font for mass production quantities and on the sharing / redistribution of the font file itself.

Do you have to download and pay for the driver update to get the fonts on your site? If you update your driver once do you have to pay every time you download? I’ve tried to download a couple of times and it always takes me to purchase the driver update page. 🙁

You do not need to pay for anything on my blog site. I am not sure why that is happening?? I am going to have my technical people look into it. I apologize but have never had this happen to anyone else.

Hi Shannon — sorry just seeing this…..a few commercial free shadowed faves you can search for are Porter Sans by Tyler Finck and Vast Shadow by Sorkin Type Co. I also like Hominis by Paul Lloyd. — they’re all pretty clean looking but have a nice shadow
