7 Fortune Teller Images
Today we have a marvelous collection of Vintage Fortune Teller Images! There are some very unique pieces in this set … some of them are hard to find pieces that have been in my collection for many years. I think they would be fun to use in your Halloween crafts and projects, they would be great to use in Junk Journals, Collages or Mixed media art too.
Old Fortune Teller Images
Pictured above is a fun Old Graphic from J.M. Singer! This is actually the top of a box that goes to a deck of cards. Featured on the the colorful box cover is a “Fortune Teller.” She’s sitting on carpet in front of a Tent with some Cards in her hand. It looks like she is ready to burn them in a fire in a large teacup. An Owl is flying by. Love her Costume!
This is an interesting Fortune Teller Image! Shown in this scene is an Old Woman reading the Palm of a young girl. The girl and her brother are dressed in Colonial style clothes, as is the Fortune Teller. Also in the scene are some decks of cards, some gold and silver coins, a cute Cat in a basket, and a wise looking Owl! The detail in this image are really well done! The colors are soft and muted greens and oranges.
Palm Reading Clipart
My husband and I once went to a town in Pennsylvania that has a number of Antique shops known for carrying rare and early pieces. I don’t go often as the prices can be quite high, but you can find some wonderful and unusual things. I was lucky to find this amazing Palmistry hand advertising card that was damaged, so I got a fairly good price on it. The image above took some time to repair.
Pictured above is an intriguing Vintage Palm Reading Image! Shown is a hand with a diagram on it for Palmistry. So interesting! This one was scanned from an 1854 Article about Chiromancy. A fun Vintage Image Download for your Halloween Craft Projects or Steampunk Designs! Nice for Digital Collage too.
Wizard Images
This is a fun Vintage Wizard Image!! Featured here is an interesting Antique Trade Card for Soapine. The card shows a Wizard (such an unusual image!) holding a ladies hand and pointing to the Heavens. There you can see the word Soapine spelled out in Gold Stars in the Sky, with a Crescent Moon right next to it!
Here we have a Spooky Halloween Picture! Featured above is a triple Frame of Vines and Wood. In the first panel there is a Scene showing a Wizard with his Telescope. The center scene shows a series of objects including a Skull, a Globe, and an Hour Glass. The last scene on the right displays a Fortune Teller with a Crow and a Black Cat. This one was scanned from the 1854 Chiromancy Article. Such a fun Vintage Image Download!
Sorceress Image
This offering was scanned from a rare and early, Circa 1790’s, German Natural History Print/Page in my collection! I think she must be some sort of Sorceress. In this picture we see a young woman inside of a fancy looking tent. Nothing too strange about that…. well … except for the part where the tent, and the lady, are on the back of a large flying bird! Extraordinary!

Hi Karen,
These were a lot of fun and I learned something too! I really like the old woman reading the young girl’s hand – thinking about what she is going to say next. LOL! I love the detail, the cloak she’s wearing and what the children are wearing – it’s awesome! Thank you for sharing these with us!!
Have a wonderful day!

Nice work on the restoration.
Also, appreciate the high res scan of the gypsy fortune teller; so fun to zoom in and see how the dot patterns are working together, etc..
