14 Spider Clipart and Spider Web Clipart
Today we have a fascinating collection of Spider Clipart and Spider Web Clipart! YIKES! All of the insect images below are black and white drawings. There are a few very unusual pieces in this set, so make sure you scroll all the way down to the bottom to see the complete collection of illustrations. These free images are great for your Natural themed art projects and of course Halloween Crafts too!
Spider Clipart
Above is a beautiful Spider Clip Art image that shows a Garden Spider hanging from a thorny branch. The markings on the back of this creature are just fascinating to me. It reminds me of a zentangle drawing. This one is also from a Natural History book!
Here we have an eerie Old Tarantula Spider Graphic! This is a nice black and white woodcut image of a rather frightening tarantula with hairy legs and large body sections. Yikes!
Above we have a rather intimidating Tarantula Spider Clipart Image. This one came out of an antique dictionary. I can’t imagine running into this guy!
This one is a bit different than the others. This image is actually Little Miss Muffet. As you can see her little friend is dropping in to sit beside her, as promised in the rhyme. I just thought it could still be used for Halloween, as her hair looks a bit like a “Bride of Frankenstein” hairdo! I love the that it’s a silhouette too. So fun.
Spider Web ClipArt
Here is the latest addition to this collection. Some of these are hard to look at with out getting creeped out! I do like the contrast on this one though, with the white insect and web on the black background. It’s a very striking looking image if you like this sort of thing. Haha!
Here we see a rather creepy looking Spider Clipart picture with 2 webs on either side of him. Why is that the furry ones always look even scarier?!
Shown above is a title page from an Antique Children’s Book. I have removed the text from the center of the image, leaving you with this spooky, but beautiful frame. You could add your own text in the center, or a photo, or whatever you like!
Above is a beautiful Spider Web Image on a Flower Branch. I scanned this one out of a Circa 1880’s Antique Jewelry Catalog. I’m not really sure what this guy and his Web have to do with Jewelry, but it was used as a sort of a Printer’s Ornament on one of the pages in the book. Kind of funny! Anyway, I thought it was an interesting engraved image. I like the beautiful Rose in the picture as well. I think it would be fun to color in the Rose and leave the Web black and white.
Here is a great Halloween Image! Featured above is a creepy looking black and white image of a Spider in a Web! The fellow is pretty large on the circular web. The threads of the web are symmetrical. According to the Antique Book that this came from it is a common House-Spider. Yikes! I hope we don’t have these in our house!
Featured above is a Creepy Vintage Graphic from an early Natural History book! Shown above is a Web with a Spider in it. I especially love the geometry of this image and how it is joined to the frame.
This Vintage Halloween Spider Clip Art Image is dark and scary. Shown above is a Die Cut piece of a Black Spider in its Web. Creepy! The threads of the web are very thick and menacing. It would be almost impossible to free yourself from this!
Pictured above is a cute and sort of primitive looking Web! The one is built onto the inside of three tree branches. It kind of reminds me of a rustic dream catcher. Just imagine the dreams that could be spun here!
Spider Clip Art Scroll Ornament
Love these!!! The fabulous Scrolls featured above have Spider Webs in the center! How perfect for Halloween! These would make awesome Photoshop Brushes!! I’ve included two versions, one is the mirror image of the other so that you can use them in different directions.
I hope you enjoyed this fun curated collection of Spider Clipart and Spider Web Clip Art ! You might also like our Best Free Vintage Halloween Images HERE!

Hi Karen,
This Spider Web Image on a Flower Branch is very interesting. I find the flower very pretty – but that ol’ spider is looking for some supper. LOL! I agree with you to have the flower coloured and leave the spider web alone.
Now, you said that it was scanned out of an Antique Jewelry Catalogue? Very interesting!! Do you notice those two flowers that are fully bloomed? I have seen jewelry pins – like floral pins that the flower petals would be painted – something you would pin on your coat or wear like a broach. In fact, I do have one that appealed to me and I do wear it on my coats…..I have seen many in Vintage shops – maybe that’s what was behind this being in a jewelry catalogue? I’m not sure but it’s just my thoughts because I do see an extreme resemblance to some of the Vintage jewelry.
I like the Garden Spider – there is so much detail in that one, he may be king of all spiders. LOL! The Tarantula is also very detailed – no, would not want to run into that Bad Boy either.
Oddly, those scrolls although very, very pretty remind me of two things – musical notes laying down and strangely enough…..bicycles for some reason. I wouldn’t have even thought of them being spider webs. LOL! But still, these are interesting!!
I would have never thought I would be downloading spider webs and spiders but these really need to be appreciated!
Thanks so much and have a wonderful Halloween weekend, keeping safe!!
