French Shabby Style Junk Journal
Hey everyone. Robin Dudley Howes, one of our amazing NEW Junk Journal Design Team Members, created a fabulous French Shabby Style Art Journal for us this week. As you know, we feature one new Junk Journal project each week created by one of our creative team of artists. Our Design Team Members select from the 100’s of Vintage Image Bundles on our Premium Membership Site, for their creations, in order to show you beautiful ways to use those images. We hope you will be totally inspired by this series!
Therefore, please make sure you check out the video tour at the bottom of the page…please scroll all the way down to see it. Are you ready to be inspired? I will step out of the way and let Robin introduce herself, and tell you all about her lovely project…
Hi my name is Robin Dudley Howes and I am thrilled to be a part of the design team for Graphics Fairy!
I live in Los Angeles California with the two love’s of I my life, husband, Chip and daughter, Violet. We are all artists, my husband being a shoe designer and my daughter a musician, so it’s easy to see that I live, eat and breath creativity every day and love to share what I make with others, so in in the Fall of 2018 I opened my own online art school, artsybohemian.com. If you like unconventional art with a Bohemian twist , I’d love to have you join our artsy boho tribe.
For my first project, I created a French Shabby Style junk journal. It has approximately 50 pages and several images from the Graphics Fairy Premium membership site. There are also hand dyed papers using coffee and avocado skins, vintage and antique papers, altered envelopes, vintage lace, bags and accordion folded pages.
Many pages in the journal have several layers of collage elements, hand made snippets and clever pockets to tuck extra notes and tags.
It was so fun to use the Graphics Fairy vast library of digital envelope templates, journal cards, washi tape, journal pages and illustrations.
One of my favorite things to create was the miniature book using Graphic Fairy mini vintage book digital images and creating the book cover focal of Marie Antoinette with silk ribbon embroidery.
Here are the many bundles I used from Graphic Fairies Premium membership site:
