How to Make Vintage Signs for a Wedding
Hello everyone! Today we are going to learn How to Make Vintage Signs for a Wedding. Well it seems like everyone is having a wedding lately. Did you know that you can add to the bride-to-be’s accessories right here at the Graphics Fairy. With just a few supplies and about a half an hour…you can make some fabulous Typography Wedding signs that can be used on the big day. There is such a great selection here you can really WOW everyone. Let’s get the DIY on these pretty signs.
All you need is some Fabric Transfer paper, a piece of plain fabric like muslin, linen or canvas, a wooden block or blocks cut to the appropriate size for your project, scissors, foam brush or regular brush, Vintage Wedding Images from HERE, printed onto the transfer paper and then you will also need…
some adhesive spray.
Step 1: Now simply iron your transfer onto the fabric…
Step 2: Then peel back and viola your image is completed.
Step 3: Paint your block on the sides and the back…it gives a canvas look.
Step 4: Trim you images to the size of the blocks…
Step 5: Spray with your adhesive and then apply to the front of the block and make sure everything is smooth and looks wonderful. As a second thought I added a bit of sparkle by placing a rhinestone on the engagement ring…that little bit of bling is just what it needed! Such a fun touch!
In just about a half an hour you will have some beautiful and unique signs for your friend or family members on the special day.
They are beautiful…fashionable and very useful…by using 1 inch wood…the signs are self standing or if you want to hang them…simply drill to holes on either side and thread your favorite ribbon or twine through them. You can use this technique with any graphic here and as you know there is one perfect for any decor or occasion. If you don’t enjoy the extra step of creating a fabric transfer you can always run your image off on high quality card stock…linen paper…canvas paper…glossy…etc and just use the old fashion decoupage method.

These look so pretty! My daughter is getting married next year, at our home, so I’m collecting ideas to go over with her. I love this one! Thanks for sharing. I’ve pinned.
