Sherwin Williams Gray Living Room: The Big Reveal!
This is the big reveal for my Sherwin Williams Gray Living Room, with the Gauntlet Gray paint that I selected! I hope you enjoy this tour, I’m really in love with this color and I’m very pleased with how it turned out.
You may recall that I selected Sherwin-Williams Gauntlet Gray for my walls, and I am thrilled with how gorgeous that color looks in this room!
I love how easily the Chip It! tool brought everything together. I was able to pull from both of the inspiration photos to get the exact look I was hoping for. Sherwin-Williams Bee’s Wax color is represented in the natural tones of the sisal rug, and the horse-print frame is a perfect match for Sherwin-Williams (SW) Tricorn Black!
I used lots of white touches (shown as SW Extra White on the palette) to add some lightness and contrast to the gray. This loveseat was previously in my family room, but it really wasn’t the right size for that space so it worked out great moving it in here. I popped in lots of pieces of Ironstone from my collection and I splurged on the white glass lamps, but it was sooo worth it!
The mirrors, end tables, coffee table, horse art and chairs all came from the shop that I recently closed down. Perfect timing on that one!
I was so excited to find these Ikat Pillows that incorporate the SW Heartthrob red and the SW Dragonfruit pink!
I’ve had that long sofa table in my garage for over a year! I may end up painting it to match the coffee table. The print is a family heirloom and I snagged the antique concrete urn at Lucketts. I love displaying old garden pieces inside my home. I still need to fill the urn with something.
This was my first inspiration photo. I chipped it and used Gauntlet Gray for the walls. It’s a funny photo of a Swallow bird with a baby. It had a lot of interesting grays in it though, so I thought it would make a good color palette.
This was my second inspiration photo. I chipped it too and used these colors to pull my accessories together. A big thanks again to Chassity from Look Linger Love for letting me use her dining room photo! I hope you enjoyed this tour of my Sherwin Williams Gray Living Room. Don’t be afraid to try a darker color in your home, I highly recommend that Gauntlet Gray Paint color, I get so many compliments on it.

The living room turned out gorgeous!
I actually have two, no, three rooms I’m having a hard time deciding on what color to paint the walls. My daughter’s old bedroom is the first that comes to mind. I want to do white, but which white? Cool or warm? Pure white or white with a touch of another color? Should I go with pink and gray in other things or cream and brown? I’m so confused! Or something else entirely?

Love your makeover! My sewing room/computer room is in dire need of organization and just getting in shape. Six years ago we had a water leak in the house which required a complete house renovation (ugh!) and I was more than happy to pick out new paint. When we built the house I chose what I thought was a cream color for the walls but it screamed “Canary!” when I’d walk thru the door. I learned a lot about color and found that a cream should be chosen out of the “brown” family — it’ll be much warmer and softer. The master bedroom was repainted avocado green with white trim. The living room/dining room combo has a Williamsburg blue on each end wall and cream on all other walls and trim. My kitchen is very small (although very functional) and we painted the end wall avocado where I hang my hooked rooster rug! THANK YOU KAREN for all that you do. You are truly an inspiration!

I would like to make-over my foyer. I have a large collection of family photos, some well over 100 years old, including 2 charcoal drawings of my great-grandfather and great-great grandmother. I’d like to revamp the area to honor them as they deserve.

Your inspiration piece was just so charming and I can see why you chose the gray for the walls–awesome!
The room I’d like to makeover would be my bedroom. I’ve been thinking about what style I would want, and pretty much decided on somewhat shabby chic-ish. It’s just picking a color scheme that I can live with!

Your new room is beautiful. The tool is wonderful. I would like to use it on my living room as well. Ours is all shades of beiges with crimson accents. Of course our living room would never look like yours. We have 2 small children and the is never without toys….
Thanks!

oooh so want to repaint the whole house … but one room at a time…so probably have to say it’s gotta be the kitchen (whew – that was hard to choose)but boy does it need it!! It is a relic from (gasp)the 80’s ~ in a non-retro way 🙂
