Sherwin Williams Gray Living Room: The Big Reveal!
This is the big reveal for my Sherwin Williams Gray Living Room, with the Gauntlet Gray paint that I selected! I hope you enjoy this tour, I’m really in love with this color and I’m very pleased with how it turned out.
You may recall that I selected Sherwin-Williams Gauntlet Gray for my walls, and I am thrilled with how gorgeous that color looks in this room!
I love how easily the Chip It! tool brought everything together. I was able to pull from both of the inspiration photos to get the exact look I was hoping for. Sherwin-Williams Bee’s Wax color is represented in the natural tones of the sisal rug, and the horse-print frame is a perfect match for Sherwin-Williams (SW) Tricorn Black!
I used lots of white touches (shown as SW Extra White on the palette) to add some lightness and contrast to the gray. This loveseat was previously in my family room, but it really wasn’t the right size for that space so it worked out great moving it in here. I popped in lots of pieces of Ironstone from my collection and I splurged on the white glass lamps, but it was sooo worth it!
The mirrors, end tables, coffee table, horse art and chairs all came from the shop that I recently closed down. Perfect timing on that one!
I was so excited to find these Ikat Pillows that incorporate the SW Heartthrob red and the SW Dragonfruit pink!
I’ve had that long sofa table in my garage for over a year! I may end up painting it to match the coffee table. The print is a family heirloom and I snagged the antique concrete urn at Lucketts. I love displaying old garden pieces inside my home. I still need to fill the urn with something.
This was my first inspiration photo. I chipped it and used Gauntlet Gray for the walls. It’s a funny photo of a Swallow bird with a baby. It had a lot of interesting grays in it though, so I thought it would make a good color palette.
This was my second inspiration photo. I chipped it too and used these colors to pull my accessories together. A big thanks again to Chassity from Look Linger Love for letting me use her dining room photo! I hope you enjoyed this tour of my Sherwin Williams Gray Living Room. Don’t be afraid to try a darker color in your home, I highly recommend that Gauntlet Gray Paint color, I get so many compliments on it.

Karen, I LOVE your new living room…the color, the accessories! The room in my house I would love to makeover would be the 1/2 story that is my son’s room. My little 1940’s stone cottage with Blue shutters is small, but cozy, and I’ve mostly re-painted the rest of the house, but that 1/2 story is in dire need of ANYTHING! [email protected]

What a gorgeous room!! I’ve always thought of gray for hospitals or prisons (sorry! LOL) but no more!! I just LOVE your living room!!
I would love the chance to make over our living room! It is a dark brown that I have loved but the walls need some TLC and I am ready for a change, too!!

We plan on doing the entire house before our daughter graduates from high school by next June. The three most in need are the Living Room, Dining Room, and Kitchen, AND this is a home over 225 years old, with working wood (cook) stove, which makes for soot, so it must be easily cleaned, too!

Our master bedroom is the last room in the house left to decorate. The Chip-It tool sounds awesome, as would winning some make-over money. Thanks!!

For most of my adult years I have been blessed to be able to help friends and family with ideas about doing room makeovers, but when it comes to re-doing our master bedroom I am at a loss as to what to do. I’m afraid that I will do all this work and end up not liking it when finished.

Your home is fabulous. I would love to build a Victorian art nouveau breakfast nook. I feel this style encapsulates femininity but has enough architectural flare to please even the “manliest” of men.

I’d love to redo my art studio. Not only practically and functionally, but also make sure it has loads of inspiration and creative juice. 😀
Thanks for the giveaway and all the awesome vintage clips!

Our living room needs a makeover. I am at a loss for storage space, so we still have boxes in the room, in spite of the fact that we’ve been here over a year. We have a beautiful table we got for free, and a sofa and entertainment center in desperate need of some love. I am a very crafty person (sewing, lace, music, writing, you-name-it), but my decorating skills are non-existant. At 34, I still decorate like I live in a dorm. Please help us!
