6 Natural History Bird Book Pages
Today we have a marvelous collection of Natural History Bird Book Pages! These are all various beautiful Bird prints that I have picked up over the years. They were all originally from Antique books, but I don’t own any of the actual books, I only just purchased the Prints from different Antique and Ephemera sellers.
So we have a variety of prints here from different artists and time periods, but I’m sure they are all over 100 years old. They are all fairly smallish prints, as the books that they came out of weren’t particularly large. They would look lovely framed up and hung on a wall or you could incorporate them into a collage or use them in your Junk Journals. I’m sure you will come up with all sorts of creative ways to use these in your projects!

This is a Fabulous Early Botanical Printable! Shown above is a marvelous Antique Botany Print. This print is quite old, it dates to Circa 1790! I wish you could feel the paper, it’s very thick and almost feels like leather. This Botanical has the most beautiful Sepia Tones to it. The print features a Geoffroea Shrub and a Gracula bird. This is a wonderful 1815 Natural History print from England! This one features a bird called a “Cold Finch” according to the title of the print. I like how he’s sitting on a nice green leafy branch! I just adore the texture on this piece, and I left the edge all raggedy. I you want a tidier edge, you can just trim it off after you print it out.

Here’s a wonderful antique print of a pretty bird with a gray body, white belly and black wings and tail. He also has a big of a mask around his eyes. This is an early one, circa 1840’s I believe. According to the title on the print, he is a Great Cinereous Shrike. That’s quite a name! This little guy appears to have found himself a tasty snack.
