6 Wild Crocodile Images
This is an interesting collection of Vintage Crocodile Images. Some of these may, or may not, be Alligators. Apparently the difference between Alligators and Crocodiles is that Crocks have a V shaped snout and Alligators have a U shaped snout. Which is all very well and good if you saw a photo of the 2 species together, you could probably easily tell which was which, but with illustrations it’s very difficult for me to tell. And when the books, where some of these images came from, are in a different language than the one I speak, it makes it even more difficult! My understanding though is that both belong to the Crocodilian species.

Here is the latest addition to this collection. I think this one is supposed to be a Crocodile. We just saw some of these guys on the Safari ride at Animal Kingdom recently and they are such huge creatures!!
I believe this one is also supposed to be a Crocodile, but I could be wrong. Anyway, he is perched on a little mossy area and is peeking out towards the water. I’m not sure if he is sunning himself or looking for his next meal. I suppose he could be multitasking and doing both!!
This is a Free Vintage Alligator Image! Or maybe he’s a Crocodile? This one was scanned from a recent addition to my collection, it’s from a Circa 1879 German Natural History Book about Animals. Shown above is a large Green scaly Alligator, he looks like he’s ready to take a big bite out of something!

I believe this one is an Alligator. Here we see a close up of his face. Yikes! Not the sweetest smile I’ve ever seen. Haha!
Here’s another smiling portrait of this interesting creature! He’s in the water, somewhat hidden among the grass, he looks like he is scouting out his next meal.
