16 Child Silhouettes

Today we have an adorable collection of Child Silhouettes! No matter how hard I try, I cannot choose which one of these I like the most. Some of the images come from a glorious Circa 1870′s Children’s Book from London. We have several pictures of Children Playing – on a Swing Set, Dancing, and Riding a Donkey. A few of our images show groups of children in a Boat, hanging Laundry, and in a Parade. There is a darling Retro Jumping Rope Image. Also included is a Printable Cowboy Stencil and a Free Silhouette Vector. I think you could use these to make some cute Art for a Child’s Room!

Old Silhouettes of Children at Play

This image shows a sweet Silhouette of Children Playing or Dancing with Paper Lanterns! I had fun playing with this one. You will find the original color version in a section below.

Above is another precious little Silhouette from an 1870’s Children’s book! This one shows two children playing on a swing. Their little dog seems to be enjoying the fun too!! This would be cute with a little black frame around it. Great to hang in a child’s bedroom!

This is a charming Vintage Paper Dolls Silhouette Image! Featured above is a darling silhouette of two children. The little girl is holding a doll behind her back. The doll appears to have lost her head! The little boy seems to be trying to cheer her up by cutting out a Paper doll for her to play with! Such a sweet scene!

This sweet illustration shows another little girl playing with her doll. She has a long braid with a bow in it. Cute!

Here is another sweet Antique silhouette from an old Children’s book. This one had the title “Papa & Mama” and shows two children playing dress up with their little doll. Adorable!

Here is a Free Silhouette Vector! Featured is a darling little girl, riding what looks to be a mule or donkey! There’s a little dog running beside them. I love all the movement in this one. Notice the ribbon on her hat, which is blowing in the breeze behind her! I’m offering several different versions of this image. You can grab the Jpeg that you see on this page the way you normally would or you can download the File in the link above, which includes a Vector File and a PNG File with the background removed.

Here is the latest addition to this collection. These children with animals are especially charming I think. This little girl is feeding a small foal, while a curious Dog is watching!

Vintage Child Silhouettes

This  is a Vintage Laundry Day Silhouette Image! It is an antique black and white illustration showing a silhouette of five darling children hanging laundry on the line. So cute! I think you could use this to make some Art for your Laundry Room!

Above is a fun Silhouette of Kids in Boat Image! This is another antique black and white illustration showing a silhouette of four cute kids in a small boat. You can also see a little dog inside of the boat and a swan swimming next to it. Adorable!

Antique Kids Profile Silhouettes

These two Silhouettes are from a quite rare 1880’s Typography book filled with gorgeous images that the Printers would have used at that time for Newspapers, Books and Magazines. Shown are a sweet girl and a darling boy. The girl has a long braid in her hair. The boy has loads of curls. The original scan was actually quite tiny at about half an inch. I scanned them therefore at a very high resolution and then enlarged them using Illustrator, to make them more useable. I hope you like them!

This is a fun little advertising card for Coats Thread, which is the colorful version of the same isolated image shown above. The card shows a charming Silhouette of Children with Paper Lanterns! They seem to be balancing, hand in hand, on mountains. So sweet!
