Here are a few creepy crawly things for you to use in your Halloween projects! I’ve included 2 versions of each in case you want to use the original sepia toned version, or the more cleaned up black and white version. Included are a Bat, hanging upside down, a Tarantula Spider, and a Copperhead Snake. All of these came out of an antique dictionary, I’m including the entire dictionary page for the Bat, in case you can use that as well.
A quick story about the Copperhead Snake. Last week one of these guys made it’s way into my basement. And no we’re not talking cellar here, were talking finished basement in a new home, and this guy was poised just a few yards outside of my office, and very near my son’s bedroom! He was actually positioned just like this one here, and was hissing and spitting at my Corgi, who thought the Snake was just the most fun toy he had every seen! Well I don’t want to get too graphic but, let’s just say it didn’t end well for the snake, I felt really bad about killing it, but I had to protect my pooch and, the rest of us too, and DH was at work. Anyway, I have no idea how it got in or where it came from, but I sure hope he doesn’t have any friends around here, because I would really prefer not to have to deal with that again!!
