4 Wild Rhino Images
This is an interesting collection of Rhino Images… or Rhinoceros actually, if we are going with their full title! Apparently that is a Greek word that means “nose horned” so I would say these guys live up to their names. You would think with that big horn and their huge size that they would be meant eaters, but as it turns out they are vegetarians. These images were scanned from Antique Natural History books in my collection. They would probably work well in school projects or reports or in any project where you need to add a little something (or big something!) Wild.

Today I’m offering this Vintage Rhino Image! Shown above is an illustration of a lovely Rhinoceros heading for the River. This one was scanned from an 1880’s German Natural History Book. Nice for your Animal Themed Projects!
This next lovely Rhinoceros image, shows our big boy in a very plain setting. Just grass and sky around him and not a tree or bush in site. Hopefully he can find some vegetation not too far off. This one was scanned from a Circa 1885 Natural History book in my collection. This is from the book that I often refer to as “the moldy book”, some of you may recall that story from previous posts. Haha!
Here is the latest addition to this collection. Apparently this next one is an Indian Rhino. He looks a bit different than the ones above him with that spiky horn. I’ve removed the background around him so that you can add him to your own scene if you like.
This one has double horns. A spiky one in the front and a smaller one in between the large ones and his ears. Apparently there are several different types of Rhinos!
I hope you enjoyed this collection of Vintage Rhino Images. You might also like our Hippo Image collection HERE.
