We have some extraordinary color images of turtles. The shells are just beautiful. Also included are several black and white images of turtles, sea turtles, and even a Caspian Turtle. Most stunning is the Turtle Skeleton illustration below. It is fascinating to see the bone structure of a turtle. All are nice pictures that would be fun to use in Collage or Card Making! I could see these used in a fantastic Natural History Junk Journal for sure!

This is a Free Vintage Turtle Clip Art Image! It was scanned from a Circa 1879 German Natural History Book about Animals. Shown is a wonderful green Turtle with a spotted Shell!

Shown above is a wonderful Yellow and Black Turtle. He looks like a Box Turtle to me! The geometric patterning of his shell is mesmerising to look at. Nature is amazing. This is a Free Stock Image Turtle Picture scanned from the same Natural History Book.

Pictured above is a Vintage Brown Turtle Image! This is a wonderful brown Turtle with a spotted body and lovely patterned shell! It appears to be a Sea Turtle.

Shown above is a wonderful brown Turtle with an intricate patterned design on his Shell! It reminds me of Zen Doodles with its lines and dots. I think it would be fun to draw these. This is a Public Domain Turtle Image!

Sea Turtle Images

Here we have a Beautiful Old Swimming Sea Turtle Image! This is a wonderful old engraving. He/she has a serious expression on its face with wide open eyes. It looks like a younger sea turtle with powerful large legs. This one was scanned form an 1838 Natural History Amphibians book in my collection.

Featured above is a Graceful Vintage Sea Turtle pictured from Above! This is a splendid overhead view sketch of a sea turtle with lovely dotted markings on the shell. She appears to be swimming along with her legs fully extended. Her head is turned slightly to the right so you see one eye.

Black and White Turtle Clip Art

These Turtle Images are from a very Early Natural History Book. Featured above are two Turtles or Tortoises. The top image show a turtle with a fairly high, domed shell. The bottom one is pretty interesting. He looks more like a dragon to me. His shell is small and low. I can’t imagine how he would hide inside this. I am mostly curious about the winged area on his front legs. Doesn’t it look like butterfly wings?

Here we have an extraordinary Turtle Skeleton illustration from a very Early Natural History Book. It is such a tiny boned creature when seen like this. I am fascinated with the feet and tiny hip bones.
