Today’s reader featured project is a gorgeous Painted Vintage Buffet and Hutch from Jenny at Ava Blake Creations! I have never seen graphics transferred onto glass like this, so I am sooo excited to feature this beautiful piece! She used The Graphics Fairy’s Transfer Printables – French Cafe and Chocolat! I love the way Jenny always describes the process of transforming her pieces, so I’m going to share her words with you…
This beautiful piece came to me quite beat up…..no rails for the drawers, half the hardware was missing, etc
I saw the potential in this one….Just look at those bones….
WhoopWhoop Here is what I did…
I chalk painted this one with van Gogh Fossil Paint in Chivalry Grey, and I gave it some flecks of Cashmere Cream and Mascara Black.
I LOVE LOVE the sizes of these vintage cabinets, they fit anywhere!
The inside is painted in a custom mix for that nice deep grey!
This graphics was hand painted by me on the inside of the glass.
WHEW….you HAVE to have had your coffee for this project, reversing and mirroring images and such, is a lot of brain power!!
I mean how fabulous is that? I love everything Jenny does and am always so excited when she submits one of her amazing creations. Check out this full tutorial and be sure to take a look around her beautiful blog, Ava Blake Creations, HERE!
