DIY Printable Garden Stickers
Hello Graphics Fairy friends! I’m Diana from Dreams Factory and I’m happy to be here again to share another DIY project with you! Today, I will show you how to make these beautiful DIY Printable Garden Stickers with amazing flowers that can be included in all sorts of creative projects. The stickers can be used as they are, but I’ll also show you how to create a small faux glass raised effect that will make them even more beautiful. And quite intriguing.
These will require a little bit of patience to make, as we will build our faux glass, layer upon layer. However, you will find that the process itself is quite relaxing, and the final results are incredibly rewarding.
I included mostly pink and blue flowers to create the design. These are not just regular pink and blue flowers, but some of the most amazing, lovingly picked from The Graphics Fairy’s ‘garden’. And some of my favorites!
You’ll find hydrangeas, magnolias, cherry blossoms, rhododendrons, peonies and some purple lavender. I also added a few French ephemera cutouts that can be glued in front of the cloches after creating the domes. These French beauties, though quite small, will add a touch of whimsy to your cloches, making them even more charming.

Step by Step Tutorial:
Start by printing your printable on your preferred paper. You can use sticker paper or cardstock paper.
If you are thinking of just printing and using these without creating the faux glass effect, sticker paper would be great.
If you decide to go with the cardstock, you won’t have that sticky backing sticker paper has, so you’ll have to use some glue to adhere these beauties where you want. I actually preferred the cardstock here because it gave the cloches some body that helped emphasize the faux glass effect that I created.
Use your scissors to cut each cloche and all the French ephemera cutouts. Some of these Frenchies are quite small, so take your time and be careful while cutting them.
Use brown distress ink all around the edges to give the paper even more of a vintage vibe. You can use other colors if you prefer to make these more colorful and vibrant.
If you prefer to use the cloche stickers without creating the glass dome, you can stop now and start enjoying these beauties!
If you want to further experiment, here is how you can create that lovely faux glass effect on top!
Take one of the paper cloches in your hand and fold it in half vertically. Fold it just enough to create a rounded effect on your paper, but not so much that you create a folded line in the middle. You could also wrap the paper on one of your fingers, we only want to slightly round the paper.
Place the cloche paper on your table and use something to protect the surface underneath – I used parchment paper at this step.
Brush a uniform layer of Mod Podge on the whole surface of your cloche. Add enough to cover everything! Go outside the edges just to make sure you get complete coverage. Use a toothpick to hold the paper in place while applying the glue.
This layer of glue will seal the surface of our paper and will prepare it for our next step. Let the Mod Podge dry completely before moving on.
Tips and tricks: Don’t add the Mod Podge directly from the bottle to your paper. Squeeze a little bit of glue on your parchment first, pick some with your brush and only then apply it to your paper.
And now it’s time to create our beautiful faux glass effect! But first, partially fold the paper one more time, just like we did before and then unfold it.
Place the cloches on your table and going from the top, start applying the Glossy Accents glue. Fill the top, then gradually work your way down and create a small border of glue INSIDE the design on the left & right edges, but also on the bottom. We are basically keeping the left and right edges and the bottom base glue-free!
I found it easier to apply the Glossy Accents in small circular motions while lightly squeezing the bottle to release some more glue. Make sure you fill all the spaces inside the border of glue…with glue.
While adding this magical glue, I was able to hold the paper in place using the small cloche base from the bottom.
Try to add a uniform layer. Look from the side to see if there are any uncovered areas and use a toothpick to break the air bubbles that will form here and there. Add more glue in some of the areas that might look unbalanced and remember to keep the left and right edges and the bottom glue-free!
You can see below a side-by-side comparison. I applied on top of the cloche on the right a first layer of Glossy Accents that will dry completely clear!
As you paint or glaze with this special glue, you will notice that it has a great self-leveling feature! The best part is that it will also stay inside the border of glue that you created inside the design, even though our paper has been previously folded! It’s quite amazing!
Let the first layer of Glossy Accents dry completely before deciding if you want to add more layers or not. I did! I added at least two layers to all my cloches and even three on some which I almost messed up while trying to remove some air bubbles after the glue started to dry. Ooops! Please don’t do that!
The more layers you add the more amazing these cloches will look! I ended up using almost half of my 2 fl oz (59 ml) Glossy Accents bottle, but I would say it was well worth it, the final pieces look absolutely stunning!
I would say that the real challenge would be to know when to stop adding another layer of this special glue. Or wanting to stop…
I have to confess, I was quite tempted to continue to add even more layers, but I didn’t want to use up all my Glossy Accents medium.
You can then glue the small Frenchified cutouts in front of your pots. I only added them to some of the cloches and also kept some without.
I did my best to photograph this super chic faux glass effect that I created, but I have to tell you that these look even more amazing in real life. It’s almost like a sensorial experience, because you not only get to see the raised glass dome, but you can also feel it while going with your fingers over it. It’s really special!
Remember that I mentioned I mostly used flowers in two colors? Now you will be able to arrange these in blue and pink groups and then color coordinate them with your projects, depending on your needs! Here are the absolutely amazing blueys with some white and purple additions.
And here are the pink beauties, with one piece more gorgeous than the other!
This project will only work with a laserjet printer. But if you only have an inkjet printer and still want to give it a go, here is something that you can try. Add some duct tape on top of your designs, making sure you completely cover each cloche. You can do this after printing them and completely covering your printable with strips of duct tape, and then cut each piece.
Or you can do this after printing and cutting them, but then you’ll need to cut them one more time. Place each cloche on parchment paper pieces, add the duct tape on top and make sure you completely cover each design. Then cut each piece while still placed on the parchment paper.
The duct tape will replace the Mod Podge step and if you completely cover your design, you will be able to create the faux glass effect on top using the Glossy Accents medium.
Creating the faux domed glass effect might also work with UV resin. I haven’t tried it myself, but if you are familiar with it and maybe even have some around, you can give it a try!
No matter the method you choose, add a few more dots of glue on the top knob handle to give it even more of a glassy and classy finish!
Include these beauties in all sorts of creative projects, you will be amazed to see how beautiful they look everywhere you put them! They are perfect to embellish junk journals, cards and gift tags, to name only a few. The sky is the limit!
I hope you will love this faux glass cloche experiment and decide to give it a try! It’s really fun and quite relaxing to glaze the inside of your domes with glue and the final results are absolutely amazing! This faux glass effect looks perfect for capturing and permanently encapsulating the beauty of our gorgeous vintage flowers!

Hi again! Thank´s for all the great tutorials and charing the wonderful prints. I use Tim Holtz Distress mini glaze as I haven´t any laser printer. What I like the most is you are able to stamp over it with what you want and get perfect images. Going to print out these and try with my mini glaze tomorrow.

Hi Marie! Using the Tim Holtz Distress Mini Glaze is such a smart idea, especially without a laser printer. And I love that you can stamp over it so beautifully, that’s a fantastic tip!

Thank you, as ever utterly beautiful and so inspiring. I am going to see if I can make these for my plants, I usually cut up yogurt tubs (the larger ones) and write on them but I think it’s worth a go to see if I can seal these fabulous images with a little name tag onto the plastic. Really appreciate these freebies, you make a difference, Bless you.
