12 Leaf Pictures
Today we have an interesting collection of Spring Leaf Pictures for your crafts. Many of the following images were scanned from a delightful Circa 1874 British Design Book. Each of the leaves vary in shape and are fun to examine. These Leaf illustrations are beautifully drawn, many with the same characteristics. That makes them a good set to frame as a wall arrangement. These are nice to use for Spring or Summer craft projects or Handmade Cards!
Spring Leaf Pictures
This is a lovely Vintage Green Leaf Image! Shown here is a bright green Leaf Graphic with an elongated triangular shape. The veins are irregular. It has a yellow split stem. It is sketched with hatch strokes to show a few shadows. The leaf shape is called Hastate, which means irregular with basal lobes. Very interesting.
This is a Wonderful Evening Primrose Leaf Picture! Shown here is a medium green Vintage Leaf image, with a long skinny oval shape to it. It is very linear. The vein structure wraps the leaf and is paired on both sides of the center vein. The veining does not appear to be very deep. The illustration is done with simple hatching strokes.
Above we have a Wonderful Vintage Botanical Leaf Image! Shown here is a dull mid-green Vintage Black Bryony Leaf drawing. This one has a rounded heart shape with long, deep deeply grooved veins. The shadowing and shading of this leaf gives it so much character.
Beautiful Tree Leaf Images
Here we have a Wonderful Ginkgo Leaf Image! Shown here is a slightly yellowish green Vintage Ginkgo Leaf illustration. I just adore the distinct ginkgo leaves. They are fan shaped leaves, which are flat and irregularly notched with ruffled edges. They look like they were cut with fancy shape scissors. There is a deep groove in the middle of the leaf that makes it look like it has two distinct lobes. That is what the name Ginkgo biloba means – two lobes. The drawing has hatching and cross hatching to show shadow areas. Lovely.
Above we see a lovely Spring Sycamore Leaf Illustration! Shown here is a medium blue green Leaf illustration. I believe this leaf is called a palmate shape as it resembles a hand. It has five sections, so it could be finger-like. I think it is a Toothed or Serrated Leaf. The outer edge has a series of toothlike pointed teeth. It has a thin stem. The veins are long and deep illustrated with hatching.
This one looks like a Maple to me. Lovely!
Beautiful Plant Leaf Images
This is a lovely Vintage Geranium Leaf picture! Shown here is a bright green Leaf drawing with dark areas indicated and heavy cross hatching strokes. The rounded shape is just beautiful.
Shown here is a lovely Old Coltswood Leaf Image! According to the Circa 1874 British Design Book this is a Coltswood leaf. I have no idea what that is, but it has a nice heart shape to it! It is a yellow green color. The veining is very irregular making it lovely to look at.

This is a lovely Poplar leaf picture. It’s a beautiful dark green shade with lots of healthy looking veins.
Here is the latest addition to this collection. Here’s another one from a Poplar tree!
Next up we have a very nice Birch Leaf Illustration. I absolutely love Birch trees, their bark is so interesting!
I’m not exactly sure what type of leaf this one is. But I really like the rounded shape of this one, the bright green color and all the lovely texture on it.
I hope you enjoyed this curated collection of Leaf Pictures! You might also like our Best Vintage Herb Images HERE or our Tropical Leaves HERE!
