11 Green Butterfly Images + Moths
Today we have a beautiful collection of Green Butterfly Images and maybe a few Moths too! I’ve been in such a Butterfly mood lately. We have had so many pretty ones flying around here this Spring. As you may know, Butterflies and Moths belong to the same family of insects, and both mutate from Caterpillars. There are so many interesting colors and patterns to see in the insect pictures below! Perhaps you can use these as a Gift Tag or a cute Sticker! They would all be fun for your Collage or Card Making projects as well!
Green French Butterfly Images
This is a delightful little card seen above! The card shows a pretty colored bright Green Butterfly. Papillon means butterfly in French. I think that the symmetry seen here is amazing, as it is with so many other animal and plant species in nature! Such fine artistry is displayed here!
Pictured above is another beautiful French Butterfly or Papillons card! This one shows a Green and Yellow Butterfly. The interesting circular patterns sort of looks like eyes staring at you, don’t they? Perhaps a bit eerie, but quite interesting as well.
And here is the third and final one of these pretty French cards. This guy is half green and half blue, I wanted to keep all 3 together though to make them easier to find. I wish I had more of these!
Multi-colored Butterflies Victorian Scrap
Featured above is a beautifully drawn Image of a lovely Victorian Scrap Piece. It is a remarkable Butterfly with several amazingly vibrant colors. Another great example of the wonder of nature with symmetry along with intricate detail and color. There a fun white Banner along the top, where you could write a little message if you wish.
Here we have another lovely Vintage Butterfly Image! This old scrap piece has a lovely pink and green color combination. It also has a sweet little paper banner attached, so that you could write a little message on it if you want.
Pictures of Green Butterflies
Pictured above is a Vintage Mint Green Butterfly Image! This splendid Graphic shows a Butterfly with soft Mink Green Wings edged in Brown. I find the lines or veins on it to be an interesting focal point. They appear a bit like the veins of a leaf to me. I also think it has a great Bohemian style look to it!
Here is another Vintage Butterfly Image! This one comes from a Circa 1863 German Natural History Butterflies and Moths Book. I think it has a great Boho style look to it too! The wings are black and sort of pale muted green, with a soft Lavender Color along the edges.
This next beauty has green and blue wings and some fancy looking tips at the end of the back wings. Pretty!
Here is the latest addition to this collection. Here’s a lovely illustration, this one is a bright chartreuse green!
Pictured above are a set of two lovely little Moths. Moths are typically smaller insects than Butterflies, as these images project. There bodies are a bit pudgier than Butterflies. The colors of Moths are often less vivid and varied than Butterflies as well. However, I do like how delicate these look, and the muted colors are so lovely I think! These come from an old Natural History book.
I hope you enjoyed this wonderful curated collection! You might also like our Blue Butterflies HERE and our Best Butterfly Images Collection HERE.

Hi Karen,
I really love both of the Green Mint Butterfly and the one below it from Germany. I immediately thought how awesome they would look like on some lovely clay pots with some nice greenery and flowers sitting on every other step on the porch. These have given me the idea of how nice these colours would look on terracotta and clay. Even together, on one pot would look great and then resize for smaller ones. It’s putting me in the mood for getting them ready for when it’s warm enough for flower time!! They are perfect!
Thanks so much for finding these gems for us!
Have a wonderful week ahead of you!
