I’ve got a treat for you guys today! Annie Spackman is back with another gorgeous Painted Transfer Furniture Project Tutorial for us! Read the tutorial below, in Annie’s own words, to get all the step by step instructions!
“A plain English wardrobe gets a makeover with an amazing graphic! I bought this piece at a second hand store for $60! I knew I wanted to put a graphic on it so of course I went to The Graphics Fairy:) I primed and painted it with an off white latex paint. I got out my trusty overhead projector and traced the graphic on. I painted the traced graphic with dark charcoal gray latex paint. I also decided to put a honeycomb patten on the sides of the wardrobe. The final step was distressing it.”
Step 1) Find an awesome piece of furniture
Step 2) Sand, prime and paint if using latex paint
Step 3) Choose image (Click HERE for the Beehive Printable) and trace it on using a projector
Step 4) Use small artist brush to paint graphic on
Step 5) Distress and enjoy!

Wow! I just love this project and hope to do it. The graphic is especially sweet to me because we go to church just 2 blocks from this ad’s address.

Love this piece….some day I’ll get up the nerve to try something like this….but first on a much smaller scale!
Karen says
I can’t believe this is the same piece of furniture!! What a great makeover.
Deb says
Wow!! I love the choices of the graphics! Do you think they could also be transferred on with Mod Podge (if printed on big paper)? This is giving me ideas for the fronts of cabinets for craft studio I’m setting up ….
Annie says
Hello Deb:) I have found that the bigger the image the harder it is to do the Mod Podge transfer. That’s just me though, you might have better luck:)
