DIY Grain Sack Printable and Project
This week’s Crafty Project is another French DIY Grain Sack Printable and Project! You may recall a similar one HERE that I did awhile back. It was quite popular so, I thought I would come up with a new design!
Click HERE for the Full Size printable PDF of the front facing Grain Sack Image
(This one is suitable for printing directly on fabric, for decoupage etc.)
Click HERE for the Full Size printable PDF of the Mirrored Grain Sack Image
(Use this image when you need a reverse image for transfer projects, as with Iron on Transfers or Citra Solv transfers etc.)
Here’s the Before photo. I just used some plain Flour Sack Towels from Walmart. They were super cheap! I think I paid around $5 or $6 for the pack of 5.
I used the mirrored image and used the Citra Solv Transfer method. You can find the instructions and a tutorial HERE. If you can’t find Citra Solv locally you can order it online Here at Amazon.
I had such a blast designing this printable! The French Grain image is from an tiny antique French book, that I purchased from a seller in France. I invented the name of the Mill and the address, so please don’t try to find it if you go to Paris, it doesn’t exist! The funny thing is, I had to change the address on this. I googled the first address that I came up with and it turned out, it was the address to a Paris strip club. Whoops!!! I’m sure glad I googled it before I finalized the project!
I liked this so much, I made some place mats too! I think these would be great to sell at craft shows or in a shop, if you have one. Now go make some towels, or pillows or whatever you like…. and have fun!! I hope you enjoyed this fun DIY Grain Sack Printable and Project tutorial!

Stefanie,
I’m told that you can wash it in your machine on “warm” and even put it in the dryer. You don’t need to seal it with anything.
