7 Cardinal Images
Today we have a handsome collection of Cardinal Images! The first set of Vintage images featured below are beautiful and colorful graphics. There is a lovely old Advertising Image of a bright Red Cardinal with an Egg and a delightful Holiday Red Bird perched on a Pine tree branch. They are such nice images for your Holiday, or Spring, Projects or Cards. Great for every day projects as well! We have a gorgeous Natural History Cardinal and an exceptional Flying Cardinal Bird picture. I think these guys would make fun Handmade Christmas Cards or be a lovely option for Decoupage projects. We also have some Black and White Cardinal Images. Included are a sweet Vintage Line Art Drawing and a charming Cardinal Drawing. If you are talented with a needle, one of these might make a nice embroidery pattern. Of course, you could color it in as well!
Vintage Cardinal Pictures
Here is the latest addition to this set. Shown above is a charming antique advertising card, showing our favorite red bird perched on a floral branch! Pictured above is a lovely old Advertising Image showing a bright Red Cardinal on a branch. So cute that he appears to be singing! Displayed inside of a sweet branch frame in one corner is an exquisite Speckled Egg. The egg says it is the “natural size.”
Above is a charming Holiday Cardinal Image! Perched on a Pine tree branch that is full of small Pinecones is a beautiful Red Bird! It almost looks like a nest. This little picture was scanned from a darling Circa 1922 Children’s Bird Book.
This is a Beautiful Cardinal Bird Image! The marvelous Bright Red Cardinal Bird shown above is perched on a branch with some Green Leaves. This one is from a Circa 1840’s Natural History Book. Make sure you enlarge this one to see all of the incredible detail on this picture!
I think this guy is just marvelous! This is an exceptional Flying Cardinal Bird Image! Scanned from an 1896 advertising piece, I just love this glorious red bird! He is such a fancy looking fellow soaring through the air, and his feathers are truly spectacular!
Black and White Cardinal Images
Here we have a charming Vintage Cardinal Drawing! Perched on the branch of a Pine Tree, this little bird is so adorable. Scanned from the same Circa 1922 Children’s Bird Book, this little picture is a splendid illustration. It is fairly simple in just black and white, but I thought it would be a fun one to color in or paint with watercolors.
Shown here is another sweet Vintage Line Art Drawing of a sweet Bird sitting on a Branch. This one is a beautiful chubby Cardinal! The leaves on the branch are so very tiny. The image comes from a 1940’s Children’s Coloring Book.

Hi Karen,
The Flying Cardinal image is the best! The detail of this whole bird and especially the feathers – is incredible. And this beautiful colour is so deep and rich – one of my favourite colours of red. I love this and thanks so much for sharing these with us!
Have a nice day and keep safe!!
