11 Vintage Dictionary Pages to Print
Today I’m sharing these Printable Vintage Book Pages from some Antique Dictionaries. Most of these date back to Circa 1880s. I know that many of you guys love to make crafts using old Book or Dictionary pages, but you may not have access to the real deal, or you may not be able to bare cutting up old books in order to use those pages. So I’ve scanned some nice ones so that you can just print these out and use them time and time again. These old Ephemera Dictionary pages to print have yellowed over time and have the perfect aged patina to give your handmade projects some Vintage Style! Dictionary Art is still quite a popular trend and these pages are the perfect starting off point.
Dictionary Pages to Print
The first Dictionary Page Printable starts with Snuggery and ends with Sociable, I’m so in love with the word “Snuggery” now after reading this, although I was not familiar with it before! Great to use for cozy Winter collages. Click HERE for the full size Printable PDF of the Prayer Page
The next Dictionary page to print starts with Prayer and ends with Precedent. I thought this one would be useful for a Journal, you could write your favorite prayer on top of it, with colored markers.
This one goes from Oddfellow to Of. I think it could make the basis of a quirky masculine project of some sort. I would be great to use in a Manly Junk Journal.
More Printable Book Pages
I thought this printable book page would be a fun to offer, as it has so many little pictures on it. These tiny illustrations are such little gems. Do you see the cute Mermaid in the center?! There are also some animals, birds and a flower as well.
Next we have Mesmerist to Metal. Ah, the possibilities with this one! Perhaps you will print, or stamp, something Mesmerizing on top of it, or go with an Industrial style look and focus on the Metal aspect. Lots of ways to go with this Vintage Book Pages Printable.
This last one is Humorously to Hurly Burly. How fun! You could really create some fun Quirky or Whimsical Dictionary Art with this one.
Dictionary Pages with Love
This one and the one below are both new this time. With Valentine’s Day coming up, I thought it would be useful to have some Love themed pages to use in your Collages. This one has the definition of “Love” on the page.
Next up is a page from a cute smaller book in my collection, although I have enlarged this download a bit. This one goes from Valentine to Veil. Sweet!
Misc Small Pages
This is another one from a smaller old book. I thought this one was really interesting with the diagram of a ship on it! Nice for your nautical or beach themed projects.
Here’s another cute vintage page! This one starts with Chap and ends with Chemise and it has a fun little Checkerboard picture on it too.
Here is the latest addition to this collection. This one goes from Loaf to Long. I thought the Leaf on this one would be nice for your Fall Collage projects. The train diagram is pretty cute too!
I hope you enjoy this set of Vintage Dictionary Pages to print! So nice to use in your Craft, Junk Journals, Mixed Media Art or Collage Projects! You might also like our post on How to Make a Dictionary Art Collage HERE.

Nellie says
Hi, these are such lovely pages but I don’t think the quality is good enough to print. My computer says 72 dpi which means the prints wouldn’t be clear. I downloaded these copies years ago and when I checked the dpi I was very disappointed as your prints are always 300 dpi. Tonight I was excited at first, thinking maybe the pages had been rescanned but the dpi is still 72. Am I doing something wrong, perhaps?
Thanks anyway for all the other lovely images.
Karen Watson says
Hi Nellie, For these, don’t click on the pictures as they are 72 dpi. You want to click on the link under the pictures. The link will say something like “Click HERE to Download the Full size Printable PDF”. That link will give you the 300 dpi version. Sometimes an ad will pop up in between the picture and the link, so you may need to scroll down a bit to find it. I hope that helps!

Daphne says
Thank you! I was recently gifted a huge Webster’s Unabridged dictionary dated 1925. I’ve been debating whether to use any of the pages — and now I can keep debating while I use your pages!
Karen Watson says
Haha! That’s great Daphne. You can print as many of these as you like for your projects!
Ruth Croft says
I’ve just seen this, and thank you for the gift! I couldn’t bear to cut up a book unless it was falling apart and so damaged, that a repair really wasn’t possible. I am intrigued to see English spelling, which suggests one book may’ve been printed over here ? I had a dictionary for my best present when I was 10 and have it still, 64 years later:-)) Stay safe and be well, virtual hugs, Ruth in Brum (Birmingham, England.)

You are so welcome Ruth! I’m glad you can use these in your art. I will add more to this set over time. I love that you kept that treasured dictionary of yours since childhood!!

Thanks for the pages! Snuggery is such a funny word, it might explain why, back in the ’50s/’60s English pubs had a room called The Snug which was were the women would drink. I always wondered why it was called The Snug!
