10 Vintage Glass Cloche Images
This is a wonderful collection of Vintage Glass Cloche Images! A glass cloche is a dome-shaped cover that encloses the soil and plant material. It is typically made of clear or frosted glass to allow light and air to enter. Cloches help protect plants from extreme weather, such as heavy rain, strong winds, hail, and snow. They also provide warmth for cool-weather crops like lettuces and spinach during cold months. Glass cloches can be used throughout the year in the garden to give plants an extra layer of protection against harsh conditions. They are also beautiful objects that you can use to display other beautiful objects in your home. I have a large one in my kitchen that I change out with the season. I think these Glass Bell Jar Images are perfect to use in a Garden themed journal, or perhaps on a handmade card for a friend that loves to garden!

This is one of my favorite all time images! Swoon!!! This amazingly beautiful print comes from an 1870’s Natural History book! I spent a ridiculous amount of money on this book just to get this one image and then I spent a ridiculous amount of time… hours and hours, playing with the image to digitally color it. Really, I just couldn’t stop myself! Anyway, this is a fantastic image of a beautiful Bird inside of a Glass Cloche, with Garlands of Roses and Vines Swagging along the bottom. So many glorious details!!
And this is the full color image, created from the print above. I’ve colored the bird Teal in this one, adding some gold details to the metal parts and added some colors the flowers and leaves. I’m quite pleased with how it turned out!
And then lastly we have a black and white version of that same Bird under Cloche Image, just to give you one more option to play with!
Color Cloche Images
This is a fantastic Vintage Image of a Garden Cloche with a plant inside of it! Such a rare graphic! This one came out of an 1870’s Botanical Book. I couldn’t help but color it in, so you have 2 options here. Of course you can color the black and white one yourself. Wouldn’t it be fun to add some pretty Flowers or a Bird to this? Perfect for the basis of a Collage or Mixed Media Art Project!! Or you could make some lovely Framed Art with this. So many possibilities so use your imagination and have fun!!
Glass Cloche Bell Jar Clipart
This one comes from an 1870’s Garden book. I have such a thing for Glass Cloches, they look great anywhere you put them! This one has 3 potted plants in and it, and there is a second makeshift one using a Wine Glass. What a great idea!
And here we have just the Glass Bell Jar Clip Art image, with the potted plants, as I have removed the wine glass in this version to give you options.
This one comes from an 1879 Garden Book. This one shows an empty Glass cloche with some ground inside and around it. Imagine the possibilities here for Collage and Card making, you could add something pretty to the inside or outside, like birds, butterflies, or flowers, or something spooky for Halloween like skulls etc. I hope you can think of a fun use for this one!
And finally one more Empty Bell Jar Image. For this one I removed the lines around the outside of it, in case you would prefer to use it with out them.
I hope you enjoyed this charming collection of Vintage Glass Cloche Images! You might also like to check out our Best Garden Images HERE and our Best Bird Images HERE.

I like to keep things simple, just a few seasonal items, some greenery or florals bringing the colors of the season in 🙂
