Hi Graphics Fairy Fans…it’s Andrea from The Cottage Market. Hope you are all enjoying your Spring! I thought it would be fun to bring you an uber easy craft for your Easter eggs today…hence we will be creating some DIY Easter Egg Wraps. They are quick and easy…plus the whole family can get involved! Oh and did I mention that the mess is itsy bittsy!
You are going to need the graphic or graphics of your choice. I chose the 3 pastel Easter basket Retro set that you can snatch up right here: You will also need a scissors, card stock scrapbook paper, a glue stick, a little hole punch and of course eggs!
First you will cut out your graphics and also cut strips of complimentary scrap book card stock paper. I cut my strips 3/4″.
Now it is time to attach the graphic to the card stock strip. Simply apply the glue and place graphic on the strip with the bottom edge being flush with the bottom edge of the strip. You can use any glue you would like.
Now it is time to place your eggs in their wraps! Just wrap around your egg so you know what size it is and then either tape…staple or glue it into a ring. If you would like to have polka eggs…here’s the scoop…just punch out some complimentary paper dots…then dap a little glue…place it on your hard boiled egg and viola…polka dot eggs (talk about NO MESS and oh so cute! : ) The kids will love it and so will you.
You can use this technique with any graphic you like buy just following the above steps…it’s really versatile! You can also add glitter…embellishments…the possibilities are endless…just use your creativity.
You can make dozens of them in no time at all! Group them together…add some flowers…create a centerpiece…SO MANY possibilities.
Just remember to have fun and enjoy! Hope you enjoyed this little tutorial and I sure hope you give this a try for Easter! I will see you soon…but if you would like to visit…I am always hanging out over at my place…
