12 Vintage Kids in Costumes Photos

Today we have a super fun collection of  vintage kids in costumes photos. One of the best things about Halloween is how many creative people there are in this world! Every year, I love scrolling through all the photos on Instagram and Pinterest to see what everyone has made for their kids. This week we’re going to be taking a look at some vintage pictures of children in costumes from years ago!

Vintage Kids in Costumes Photos

Here we have a darling Messy Angel Photo Image! This is such a sweet picture! The photo shows a cute little girl with curly locks and white Feather Angel wings! She’s been playing with the soap and has made a mess of things! It has a caption that reads, “Mother’s Pride.” I’ll bet she is!! You can find the matching photo to this one just below.

Above is another matching Messy Angel Photo! This photo shows the child grabbing her face. She has been playing with the soap along with the addition of a rather large sea sponge. Soap is all over her arms and in her hair! It reads, “How Jolly.”

Pictured above are charming old photos of a darling little girl! I purchased these at a Pennsylvania auction. I got into a little bit of a bidding war to obtain them, but they were so worth it!! The images feature a child dressed in a Fairy Princess costume, complete with Fairy crown and ballet shoes! Check out those poses! These were glued to an old black photo album page, and included the caption “More of it” written in white lettering.

Cute Kids in Bohemian Costumes

Isn’t she precious?!! This is a wonderful old Photo postcard showing a little girl dressed like a Bohemian girl! She wears a shiny skirt and cummerbund ribbon around her waist. I adore the tiny vest and her sweet Mary Jane shoes. She has on loads of necklaces and a long drop earring. So sweet! My go to Halloween costume was always similar to this one. I still have a Boho vibe to my wardrobe!

Oh how I love the mischief makers in this old photo of Kids in Costumes. Above we see three adorable children dressed as bohemians. They surely make artful use of scarves! Perhaps they have raided Mamma’s Jewelry box for just the right accessories. One is holding a tambourine. Too cute!

Old Pierrot Clown Costumes

This is a darling antique French Photo postcard showing four sweet children in Pierrot Clown costumes! These clowns originated in the late seventeenth century in Paris. I love those pointy hats!! Make sure you zoom in to see the detail of these costumes.

Unusual Children in Costumes Photos

This is a cute old Photo postcard showing a darling child all dressed up! At first I thought maybe this was a riding outfit, but the hat looks to be a Bowler, and the child is carrying a tiny cane instead of a whip. I’m uncertain but think it may be a little boy, who is just dressed up in a fun outfit! Love the bright red French stamp on the front of this one!

What a little cutie pie this one is! This is an antique photo of a tiny girl playing the big Cello! She has a darling Top hat and a sweet eyelet outfit. I have such an affection for the old well done, hand tinted photos. Precious!

Isn’t she a cutie?! Here we see a cute little girl, with braids, wearing a some sort of animal ears. Cat ears maybe? She is smiling sweetly!
