Printable Party Decor: Clip on Skeletons

The air is turning cooler and spooky stuff is beginning to pop up in decor everywhere – that must mean it’s Halloween time. With parties coming up quickly, a fast & easy DIY decor idea might come in handy – so I’m going to share my quick clip on skeletons.

For this project you will need:
Prints of Skeletons & Top Hats on CARD STOCK (graphics at the bottom of this post)
Craft Knife
Small Bristle Brush
Mod Podge (I used the Sparkle version)
German Glass Glitter
Clothes Pins
Hot Glue Gun & Hot Glue Sticks (not shown)

First, print off as many skeletons & top hats as you’d like on card stock. The printable below has 12 hats to a page, and two skeletons (reverse images, so you have one of each direction.) Trim out the images. Cut out as much as possible with scissors.

Using a craft knife, trim the insides of the skeleton to make him nice & boney. Once they are all cut out, set them aside and move on to the hats.

Carefully applied Mod Podge to the cut out top hat on the “ribbon” of the hat.

While the Mod Podge is still wet, sprinkle German Glass Glitter on. (I keep mine in a vintage salt shaker for easy sprinkling.)

Now you have a glittery top hat!
Just use a dab of hot glue to attach the top hat to the skeleton.
Lastly, hot glue a clothes pin to the back of it – and you’re done!
I clipped these to some gauzy fabric, draped over my mantle,
but you could use them almost anywhere!
So easy is eerie :)

See ya next week for another project.
Until then, I’d love to see you over on my blog at The Shabby Creek Cottage.

  1. Thank you for a wonderful make. We don’t do Halloween here but I’m going to give them a go I’m sure there’ll be some little kids or big ones that I know who will appreciate them. If they go well I might make some christmas ones for my brother and his headbanging friends.

  2. Wow! That is really interesting. This is really useful for Halloween. Definitely a cool post. Lovely!

  3. No matter if some one searches for his required thing, so he/she needs too bbe
available that in detail, therefore that thing is maintained over here.
